Sorry I,ve only come across this topical thread....
It's very interesting but doesn't go into much detail what there is to-do and where to stay for the discerning tourist.
The number one attraction is listed as "Wacky Warehouse " followed by a welding course at the Steelworks, a shopping expedition to Lidl supermarket and lastly watching a Scunthorpe FC football match.
For accommodation The Royal seems very popular with unfriendly staff and poor food.
However, the cost may be too much for those trying to survive on just a UK pension so Mustafa's Homestay and Dormitory looks a good bet with a chance to meet residents from other countries like Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

(only joking) :D ;)
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Zid , I think it only fair to mention the vast array of nosh establishments available in Scunny ...

apart from the usual Burger K I N G , chippys, and McDoner the kabab shop there are many others to cater for all jonny foreigner tastes ..... a few are pictured here (the last of which is highly recommended for a late night nibble after a few beers on Saturday night after he footy)

You should get a freelance writing job for the Lonely Planet Zid ..

You forgot slag heap skiing , dodge the dog turds on the high St and bird spotting ,, the lesser spotted large breasted ginger minger most commonly seen outside the DHSS on giro day.

ANOTHER Scunny titbit ... the town is twinned with Basra .. ironic as parts of the town notably Old Crosby and Frodingham Iraqi is the most common language.

Marvelous place .. a curry quoffers paradise.
