Used to love my FORD Capri the 3.0 litre version with leather seats .
Yes, I remember my Dad's mate used to have the 3.0 litre too, sir. I'm thinking 1981 or '82.

Dandelions
Often considered to be a weed, but did you know that every part of this plant is edible? The leaves can be used in salads, the flowers can be used to make wine, and the roots can be roasted and used as a coffee substitute. But did you know that you can also harvest dandelion seeds? These seeds can be used to make a deliciously nutty flour, which can be used to make all sorts of baked goods. So why harvest dandelion seeds? Here are just a few reasons: 1. It’s a great way to use up a weed. 2. Dandelion seeds are packed with nutrients.

Is this one of the reasons the USA is slowly sliding down the worldwide acceptance.
Good olde Jerry Spring a real icon to the American way of life.
What a waste of life.

google
Originally, “Google” was an accidental misspelling of “googol,” the number 1 followed by 100 zeros (or 10 raised to the power of a 100), a number which the search company’s founders thought reflected their goal of amassing and organizing extensive amounts of available information online. The domain “google.com” was available and the name stuck

Hotmail
hotmailWhen the business plan for the company was created by Sabeer Bhatia, he tossed around many names ending in “mail.” He finally settled on “Hotmail” because it included the letters “HTML,” the language used to write web pages.

IKEA
IKEAThe first two letters in IKEA’s name are the initials of its Swedish founder Ingvar Kanprad. The last two are the first letters of the name of the property and village where he grew up: Elmtaryd Agunnaryd

McDonald’s
McDonald’s is named after Dick and Mac McDonald, the two brothers who in 1940 opened the first restaurant in the ubiquitous chain.

Oh! ....... when I googled it, came up with a lot of dictionary definitions.

But your mum and dad weren't mentioned. Hence my curiosity.

Gasoline
Originating in the oil fields of Pennsylvania in 1859, gasoline, a fuel derivative of petroleum, was initially discarded as a byproduct after the distillation of oil to produce kerosene. It wasn't until 1887 when Carl Benz developed a gasoline-powered automobile that the byproduct was recognized as a valuable fuel.

Haggis being banned
If you want an authentic taste of the national dish of Scotland, your best bet might be to visit the country itself. While variants abound, true haggis contains pluck (the liver, lungs and heart of a sheep) ground and mixed with oats, onions, suet, salt, pepper and spices, cooked in the animal’s stomach. It’s been banned in the US for nearly 50 years as the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) deems sheep lungs unfit for human consumption.

Durian fruit banned
This unique fruit is much-loved across Southeast Asia and eaten on a regular basis, despite its incredible smell. The odor has been described as everything from rotting onions or gym socks to sewage or decaying flesh – and it lingers. So much so that an Australian university was evacuated due to the smell of the pungent fruit in 2019, since it was mistaken for a gas leak. It's no surprise, then, that the fruit has been banned in some public spaces and on public transport in countries including Singapore.

Marmite banned
Known under the tagline "love it or hate it", the yeast spread Marmite is so embedded in British culture that it's one of the most confiscated items at airport security. Usually it's allowed abroad (as long as the pot complies with airport security regulations), but in Denmark it's another story. The country banned Marmite due to the fact it's fortified with additional vitamins and minerals.

Is Port (fortified wine) also banned in Denmark for the same reason?

In Switzerland, don’t vacuum on Sunday
Switzerland is another country that takes Sunday, the day of rest, very seriously. And activities that could disturb your neighbours on their day off is strictly verboten. Mowing the lawn on a Sunday is also against the country’s love-your-neighbour rules.

In Finland, don’t drive without headlights, even under the midnight sun
The northernmost reaches of Finland get sun around the clock during the longest days of the year, when you hardly need your headlights on to drive at night. But turning them off is illegal, even during the days of the midnight sun in the blissful Finnish summer. In Finland, the driving rule is lights on, all the time.

In the UK, don’t intentionally slide on ice or snow in the street
Falling down accidentally on an icy winter street in the UK is A-OK. But woe to anyone who purposefully has some fun sliding on a bit of ice or snow there—it’s technically illegal.

Don’t Tip in Japan
This next one might be hard to get your head around, but you shouldn’t tip in Japan. The service may be exceptional, but Japanese people consider this standard to be typical so offering a gratuity is not necessary.
