She's really Elizabeth I if we aren't counting from the British perspective. We needn't adopt the British world view. In fact I think there's a legal obligation in NZ where schools must also teach the Maori view of our history. That would make our history much more interesting for students than when I was at school.

She is Elizabeth Ii from that line of Monarchs. You cannot chop and change just because countries effected slip inand out of the Empire.

Remember James the 1st was James the 5th of Scotland, but rightfully crowned James 1 for the British monarchy
I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani
