Anyone have any suggestions for finding a cat or kitten in Udon?

Local temple normally has them.

Try asking at any of the petshops if they know someone who breeds cats or has cats for sale.
Plenty of Thai cats available.There were American Shorthairs in Udon a year or two back.
If you fancy something more exotic like Persian,Himalayan,Siamese,Rag Doll etc. this website may be of interest.

You may well have to go to Bangkok for the more exotic breeds but airlines like Thai will fly the cats up to Udon for a fee,if you dont fancy the drive.
