I am with Allianz Ayudhya and I pay 3500 Baht a month or 45,000 Baht a year. for coverage similar to the OP.

I am 58 so the price is similar across the companies for top cover. I am covered for operations/emergencies up till 4 million baht.

From your table and referencing Pacific Cross I fall into premium of 30,286 bht pa for the Standard Plus. Not so says Pacific Cross. This, they tell me, will not be accepted by Immigration, they have a specific policy, Platinum 1, shown on the longstay website which comes in for me at 51,000 bht pa. Comparing the 2 plans there is very little difference with the main inpatient and outpatient being a little more than the requirements stated by Immigration on both.

Some 20,000 bht difference for the same benefits.....??? Someone more cynical than I would wonder if it was 30k for Pacific Cross and 20k for....... you fill in the gap.

A local broker has also told me he would very much doubt any health insurance company would include pre-existing conditions even at an elevated premium... given pre-existing conditions are most likely to give expats the need to be hospitalised the policy would be void and they'd be back to self insuring......

Interesting to see how this pans out
