Nissan Almera - Our car insurance is due for renewal on 10th August. We are going back to France on 15th September, and the car will be off the road.
Our insurance company says we cannot renew just for the six weeks - we would have to pay a full year's premium, then cancel and claim a refund in late September. Don't want to do this. is there any other solution?
I would add that we will probably return to Thailand for July and August next year and would want two months insurance then.

Re: Short Term Car Insurance
Thanks for that - but it's still going to be a large initial layout for 6 weeks - guess I have to do what many Thai's do - go without.....
Re: Short Term Car Insurance
not a great idea, guy.
penny short and pound foolish
hell, just get the grade 2 or 3, will only cost a couple thousand baht, and get most back when canceled.

A couple thousand baht can go a long ways in France.
