pick up car insurance

Post by valiant » March 13, 2017, 12:08 am

Hi
Looking for information please.

We are coming over on October 1st and we are going to have Sister in laws pick up for 1 month giving us time to buy. When asked if they have Insurance they say yes it is second insurance.

What does this mean is it like 3rd party in the UK ?

Many thanks

2nd (second) class insurance is what you know in the UK as Third Party , Fire and Theft.
For Comprehensive (UK) read 1st Class in Thailand

When you are ready for quotes (suggest mid September) go to this Link and complete the relevant sections :

Thank you

Can you obtain Insurance for 1 month as I would feel safer driving to Udon with Fully Comprehensive

The answer is yes but would be expensive i.e. not 1/12 of the full year policy, and depends on the vehicle.
Mid-September please send us an email with a copy of the Registration book and we can quote for you :
