Free standing Electric Induction hob/oven

Post by Drunk Monkey » March 11, 2022, 7:32 am

Can any member point me in the right direction to buy a free standing electric induction hob / oven .. ive been to Homepro and yes can order but crazy prices , plus buy from catalogue as non on show.

I do not want gas due a previous accident i was involved in .. only electric 3 or 4 hob , decent brand Tecno , Electrolux Ariston are in the mix.

HomePro markup is probably a bit higher than that of Global or Thai Watsadu but Mrs tam swears by their warranty repair/replace policy.

I will be visiting both later today so will take a deko.

Have you taken a look at the two outlets on the Nong Khai road, Do Home and Home Hub?

Global House. You may have to pre-order. I bought a Mex brand there about 9 years ago and have had no problems. Even then the price was high. I think I paid about 30,000 Baht, but over the long run has been a good buy.

I just noticed that a new electric appliance store called Go Power just opened in UD Town next to Tesco. They may have some opening promotions/sales. https://www.facebook.com/UDTOWN/photos/ ... 936793487/

https://www.techinn.com/en/beko-fss-670 ... gK4ZvD_BwE
beko made in turkey ? , stay clear of Electrolux , i have bought over 200.000 baht Electrolux items and have had problems with all of them , no service at all , have for the moment a broken fridge in the carport , 7 years old , bought @ 49.900 baht , pcb board failure , Electrolux repair center udon told me 7.200 baht for the board  , had last year compressor failure , repaired for 6.900 baht , so i opted not to repair now , contacted Electrolux bkk by mail , and found out that the real price of the pcb board is 2.400 baht  , so not exact the price of the repair service ? but no stock , must order ,which i did , still waiting , now +15 weeks , inquiry by mail no response anymore , called Electrolux bkk , no english :( , poor service , so system Electrolux repair center udon , in warranty they will fix official as they did with my freestanding oven glass front exploded in 1000 pieces ,luckily nobody hurt ,had to wait +8 weeks to repair , out of warranty he will fix , but not through Electrolux ( no official bill) but order somewhere else and charge double or x3 , and give you a scrap receipt ...an example ..the electronic igniter module of the gas burners stopped work , according to the service center 1.500 baht , ordered it with lazada 150 baht ... :-k , so my initial thoughts of buying a supposedly good brand with good service (and expensive ) are completely chattered ,and i have some other stories Electrolux related , so for me surely no Electrolux anymore ...as info ;)

Beko is a decent, budget brand, same as Tecno. If you order that 11000 baht one in kopkei's link from Turkey, they'll deliver via DHL for 35000 baht all-in. Bargain!

Thai Watsadu have loads of gas and a few electric ovens and SEPARATE induction hobs but not a single price tag seen. They have a chubby ladyboy willing to advise so knock yourself out. I didn't have time to look in Global as the traffic is royally farked in that area.

Looking at separates you could put a decent combo together with what's on lazada. Still comes to around 30k but based on my having separate gas hob and electric convection/microwave oven in our kitchen, I think separates are more practical and have better aesthetics. You can mount the oven at waist or table top height. Saves the bending unless you have a friend over and like that.

Up 2 u.
