Nope I only have a older sister and her dresses wouldn't fit me even when I was skinny. My little brother never really had the same problem we did because we were older and things got financially easier for mum because we were buying our own clothes, I started working at 11yo and had 3 jobs by the time I was 13.

The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

36... a distant dream but I need to get that slim so I can get my op done, 13kg gone another 14kg to go.jackspratt wrote: ↑June 8, 2020, 2:38 pmDifferent horses for different horses.
About 30 years ago a consultant colleague I worked with, who was relatively well paid, would never buy anything (mainly clothes) at less than full price.
If he saw something he liked, and it was marked down/on sale/reduced, he would insist on paying the original full price, or pass on the purchase if that could not be accommodated.
ps my 36 inch Levis still fit perfectly.

However I digress, I look at those stalls selling shorts and trousers for 100 to 200 hundred baht , in Big C and Landmark, have purchased many good shorts and a couple of pairs of trousers over the years. If need adjustment give them to my Tailor to adjust for a small fee, can end up with good shorts for 300 baht including tailor adjustment . beats anywhere else in town.
My size larger than Vince but not as large as some I might add
5XL? The walking may not be enough mate. Might be time to join a gym Paul.

Walking is fine thanks for your concern .
Re: Shorts for the larger gentleman
Gosh, your shorts must have been in really poor taste if someone complained to the RTP about them. Or are we changing tack?

But, yes Jack, just checked my wardrobe = Levi Strauss 34 inch & Lee "R"- all my genuine "Stubbies & Ruggers" shorts = 92cm (36 ins, bit bigger and more comfortable.
Bottom line:-

Sorry, lets get back on topic.
Mrs Dero buys polo shirts when she can get em but 2xxl, my normal size is xl. Maybe the OP should look at an Indian taylor and have shorts made to measure. I believe there is at least one in Udon.

A lot of aggression in the air tonight, we're discussing shorts! How can it get to people bringing mothers into arguments, bringing up past grassing and chatter about using socks? 5555

Not allowed to use the word that is really relevant. So socks will do.

Agreed. Some do appear to be getting a little short tonight.vincemunday wrote: ↑June 8, 2020, 7:12 pmA lot of aggression in the air tonight, we're discussing shorts! How can it get to people bringing mothers into arguments, bringing up past grassing and chatter about using socks? 5555
Point of order: you were the one that introduced yer mam into the 'conversation'.
Anyhoo, I still manage to fit a 38" waist having given up all hope of the 34" and 36" of my yoof.
Back to BD's earlier horsey comment on being unable to fatten a thoroughbred, there's also the "going to the dogs" derivative of being built like a racing greyhound, all pr!ck and ribs.

Hmmm I introduced my mum in a nice way, some others might take umbrage at the way their mums have been mentioned, that's their affair.

Yes he was pretty good but some of his shirts were definitely aimed at the Thai customers. Theres also one in Centrepoint who sells good quality large T Shirts but he doesn't always have stock.
