BT50 Pro Owner's manual in English!

Post by Greg Ledder » September 27, 2014, 10:17 am

Hi all!

We bought a Mazda BT50 Pro in April of last year from the Nongbualamphu Mazda branch. I have asked them on several occasions if they can get an English version of the owner's manual but as yet they have drawn a blank.

Whether they are just being lazy or they are unable to source one I'm not sure...I have emailed head office in BKK to see if they can help but don't anticipate any joy there either - though you never know.

Has anyone here had a similar experience, did you manage to source a manual and if so, where from please?

I love the truck but for some reason the horn will now only work when the ignition is switched off. I took it back to Mazda but the nice lads in the workshop didn't even know where the horn was located so I had to tell them! They spent an hour or so fiddling about with a screwdriver inside the back of the steering wheel cover (didn't remove the cover) then because it worked intermittently a couple of times they were happy at that and I had run out of time and had to go.

Needless to say it still isn't working when the ignition is switched on save for the odd time when I get a half-hearted toot so I will book an appointment so that they can have all the time they need to sort the problem.
Meanwhile if anyone has any (practical!) suggestions as to what may be the cause I would be most grateful as I may have to suggest a cause of the problem to the lads at Mazda....

Many thanks in advance,

Greg :D

BT50 Pro Owner's manual in English!

I had a similar aggravating episode with the Ford dealer. The English version of the owner's manual that was promised never did show up. I eventually went online and was able to download and print relevant sections of the manual from a PDF version.

When it came time to trade for a new car I didn't even consider dealing with them again.

About the horn not working when key is on, it might be a problem with the Theft Deterrent System as it is active when key off but not when key on. Not sure how to fix but I have heard other type vehicles had horn problems with Theft system.

Hi Stan,

Many thanks for the info - it's certainly worth looking into.

Very frustrating, not to say dangerous not being able to use the horn!

Hi Greg,
I bought a BT50 Pro last May in Udon. I asked for an owner's manual in english and they made a copy on a CD. I got it 3 days later.
Just go to Mazda Chaorensri in front Chaoren hotel on Posri road and you should get it after a few days.
Pascal.

BT50 Pro Owner's manual in English!

Post by madmuk » September 6, 2015, 3:27 pm

Hi Greg, I've just bought a new BT 50 and was searching the internet for an English copy of the owner's manual, thus arriving at your post on Udon Map. The links from "pomps" are no longer working so I was hoping you might be able to send me the PDF of the manual. I'm new to this forum and do not know if there is a personal message feature. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

There is, but you have to have made 10 posts before you can create PMs.
You can receive & read from day 1 however..

You can check this out:

Judging from what I read on other forums, the BT 50 manual is available in English. I'd go back to the dealer and ask to speak with a manager.

BT50 Pro Owner's manual in English!

Slightly off subject, But OT must say that the new shape BT50, especially the 4 door 4x4, look really good. OT was chatting to a WFB selling Mazda's in the Big C foyer where they had a 4x4 4 door on display. Slightly hard plastics on the internal door panels but other than that it looked really well.
Such a difference from the old BT50 which in OT's opinion was the ugliest of them all.
