Weather in the boonies of Loei province. We got hit by a heavy storm. Three kilometers up the road where my friend lives, they got nothing. It still amazes me of how spotty these storms are. Anyways at our house a large tree went down. fortunately it didn't fall on the house except a few limbs that landed on top of my solar panels. I quickly removed them and had no damage. I feel lucky. My wife is working on the clean up.

In the rice paddies of Ban Dung on the evening of the 7th and yesterday about 17:30 - thick black swirling cloud, heavy winds, vicious lightening and the sweet smell of rain (coming from somewhere). The only thing in my rain gauge was dry, parched leaves! My lawns covered with someone else's tree debris.

Might wash the car, that usually brings the rain on.

Washing the car brings on rain. That reminds me of our electric grid power. It was off for more than four hours. I started worrying about food in the freezer thawing out. I went and hooked up the generator. By the time I got it running and online, the power came back on. Happens every time.

10 mins solid torrential rain now stopped , still rumbles of thunder .. still very hot and car park is drying out quicker than an Arabs underpants
