WARNING - Fake notes are in circulation. Wife was passed 2 100 baht notes last night in the shop. They were pretty good - just slightly faded, I needed to compare to a genuine one to spot the difference - had the gold dashed line and different serial numbers. If you check the dashed gold line in a good light, you can see 100 baht inscribed on each of the golden dashes in a good note, but not there in the fakes. Paper was quite realistic. Ink smudges when rubbed with alcohol.
Perpetrator was not from the village, wore a crash helmet and mask, and drove a motorbike with no number plate.
