Ok...thanks...remember totally filling my wifes new car 2 years ago almost to the day for $50, now $70 doesn't even get 3/4 full.
Very similar pricing to Aus so I'll not be surprised when we get back.

Cheers

E 91 Plus is at 19.83 Baht per Litre, where I am. Cheaper than water, although a bit harder to swallow

Diesel under 6 Baht a Litre

Makes you wonder how much Government Tax is on the price of a Liter at the Pumps (be it in Thailand or Australia) and who is really pocketing all that extra money. :-k :-k [-(

There was a great outcry before the election about the rising cost of fuel so they dropped 20c a litre off the excise.

Government will tell you there is no tax on the fuel.......their cut is excise.

Apparently it has something to do with keeping Aus price the same as Singapore....could never follow that reasoning.

In days gone by we used to have our own oil rigs, don't know if they still exist or not but doesn't change things.

Gas used to be as cheap as compared to petrol, until people started to use it.
Government even paid for people to convert their vehicles, whole show didn't last more than a couple of years.
Diesel same same, used to be as cheap as when most goods were sent by rail.
As soon as trucks started in greater numbers, government sold off the rail, ripped up many tracks, people started to use diesel cars, up went the price to where nowadays it is much the same as petrol.

Everyone comments on the obvious here but still appears nothing is ever done about it. Good money spinner.

Price at the pump used to change in 1 cent increments, these days not uncommon to see a 10c a day increase without battering an eyelid.
