Don't worry. There are exceptions. Chinese triad leaders will still be able to launder money through the purchase of real estate in British Columbia and Ontario. Their children who are studying at a Canadian University/college will be able to purchase homes for them as will any relatives with landed immigrant status or permanent residency in the Great White North. If you want to know how they do it read, "Wilful Blindness" by Sam Cooper: 'How a network of narcos, tycoons and CCP agents infiltrated the West'.
Am I correct in assuming that, similar to the UK, the rules and regulations that allow this acquisition by stealth were enacted during the years of a previous administration? I recall in the late 1990's there was the surge of Hong Kong Chinese immigration that was mostly enabled by the Commonwealth of Nations agreements. More recently, it seems the mainland Chinese are the ones buying their way into Canada but they're definitely not of our Commonwealth.
I don't know the answer to that question although I don't think there have ever been laws on the books preventing foreigners buying land in Canada for industrial, real estate and commercial purposes. However, Chinese triad leaders from China and Hong Kong have never had problems obtaining landed immigrant status in Canada although CSIS has warned government leaders not to allow these people into the country. Subsequently, many of these gangsters have had their photos taken with the current Prime Minister and with Provincial leaders of British Columbia. They have also made timely donations to top political officials during election campaigns. How, why and the results of these connexions are covered well in Wilful Blindness

Go away for 1 month, and Big C sourdough loaves, and French sticks, up by another 20%.

And the new large (size) is now the same size as the old small (size) with a higher price than the old large (size).

Fortunately I got the large size (which was the old large size) for THB102.

But I did notice the smaller loaf is now the same price as the larger was at the beginning of the year.

Bloody hell - I will soon be unable to afford to eat. But the good news is that a box of big Leo is still 614.

Damn the luck! I haven't seen a large for ages. However, I find the smaller one keeps better in these warmer times in that it's finished before it goes off. I don't like keeping bread, any bread, in the fridge.

Good result on the Leo though. Can't wait till they start that 3 different large size confusion like the other blackguards do.

And then there are these....SMOKERS are up in arms as cigarette prices rise to a massive £13.60 as the Chancellor increases tax on tobacco as part of his autumn budget.

Under the latest increase, a price of a 20-pack will soar by up to 88p with the extra levy coming in to force from 6pm last night.

It means 88p will be added to the priciest packs of fags, increasing their cost from £12.73 to just over £13.60.

The cheapest 20 packs will go up by 63p from £9.10 to £9.73 under the move..
