In all honesty it would not take long for the Police to boot over 500 cars per day in Udon, they have plenty of opportunity to do so, but are probably happy with the current income stream. There is no point building overpasses / underpasses when the city remains gridlocked.

........, however what happened to a friend of mine, came back and found four flat tyres, sort of retribution for being dumb enough to test the system which has been employed as long as I have been here .....
So has an unexplained shop fire should some very irate motorist's tyres be slashed.

I guess they don't do satire in Doodooland either.

Google is your friend.

Hope this helps.

At the rate I've witnessed the clamper cops working, 500 a day is easy. It's just at any given moment, there's 1431 other badly parked numpties and several dozens of badly placed chairs contributing to it all.

I have been known to back up and crush the stools that some shops use. Easy enough to do in a white Ford, eh Doodoo?

I think 500 a day is pushing it a bit ........... would need the traditional Thai Siesta to be cancelled for a start (and at least 4 or 5 of the Somtam breaks)

I would have thought all you whingers would have learned to simply live with the way things are over here instead of trying to change the way it is and getting your blood pressure up.

never quarrel with a thai.
it's not worth it.
you might end up at the hospital or the dentist.
and of course Farang will have to pay….

if there is a parking chair i turn away and do the shopping another day.
there is absolutely NOTHING to win for a Farang here.
i prefer to fly below the radar.

There's no reason for a foreigner or a Thai to get directly involved......sort of like the somtom vendor in your neighborhood who's dealing in yaba (https://www.komchadluek.net/news/482007)......that what the local authorities are there for.

Agree with both posts above ...

A while back i recall going into town with Dao n she fancied some food from this famous noodler so pulled up outside the place and moved plastic chair that was placed directly outside to which the said vendor took umbridge not realizing the rotund falang and his missus were intending on dining at his venue .. Dao explained this to him and he was a bit sheepish and apologetic .. too late we got back in the truck n went elsewhere.

It is always best to avoid confrontation and if cant park handily nearby do it another day or go elsewhere. .. never the less very annoying and frustrating that some owners of buildings actually think they own the tesaban / local council pavement n road outside their premises.

nearly every time I pull up at one area of Talad Thai Siri the wife will ask, "do you think the store in fornt of us will say anything?" Now she's been asking me that for years and thus far no one has said a thing... Of course, no chairs blocking the parking slots...
