Depends how big the item is.
I had a friend who had a Pipe Coating and blasting business in Pattaya.
He told me years ago sand blasting is illegal in Thailand due to the Silica dust it creates.
He had to use shot blasting in his chambers.

The item is a set of legs from a singer sewing machine which I want to clean up in order to make a table.
I note what you have said and will try wire brushing and emery paper.

Thanks.

Jimmy just prep and paint with hammerite will look great, you can order hammerite online from homepro and they deliver it or they also have the us version rustoleum.

I noticed there's a shop offering powder coating on the Kutchap road, south side about half-way between the ring road and Hansa, just before the yellow temple walls.

Took a dish drainer that had started rusting on the joints to this place for powder coating.
Really pleased with the results, gave him some more bits to do after inspection

Thanks for that satisfied customer report. I am planning getting the rims on my sports lorry done there.

If you carry on the same road past Hansa , by the canal on the left is a parade of shops . The last one does wheel renovation , including straightening buckled wheels . Not expensive , and ive been very happy with the results . Ive used him a few times .

My second pie press could do with a restoration, it was made sometime in the early 1950's. Its coated in hammerite paint but no etching primer used ,the surface is so hard that paint just chips off .
Hansa village clubhouse . Tel 0981657001 https://www.google.co.th/maps/place/Han ... 5851?hl=en

Good tip, thanks saint. I have a couple that have clipped the rough as guts and variable height kerbstones here so I could get them refurbished before the powder coating.

I had this fella powder coat another rusty piece for me & was happy again with the result.
I’ve now commissioned him to make me a shoe rack/bench from scratch.
Collect next week.

Right, no recommendations for these chancers from me.
Took a drawing with dimensions last week, they worked out the cost of materials & gave me a price which I agreed to. Took my contact details on an order form & told me it would be ready in a week, today.
Just went to collect it & get told they’d got the quote wrong & it would be more than double so they haven’t even started it yet. Just when this revelation came to light I don’t know but there was no attempt to contact me beforehand so I’ve trailed across town for nothing.
I could sort of live with the quote being a bit wrong but not so far out it’s more than double.
Anyway, needless to say I won’t be getting this piece made here
