Driver's License Renewal???

Has anybody recently renewed their driver's license at the Central or Aek Hospital locations? or the main land-transportation office?

I am 2 hours away and need to renew before Feb. I have been told that both Central and Aek are closed and that the main land-transportation office is not renewing licenses.

I have tried to find information online with no luck. Has anyone been there lately?

I renewed last week, both Central and AEK were closed . I went to the land transport office and they said I could not watch the video ,they gave me the online QR code but also suggested the driving school opposite.I went home and could not get online so the next morning I went to the driving school, they were extremely helpful and I watched the video there and also took all the practical tests.Had to wait another hour for the letter stating I had passed the tests and watched the video.After I went across the road and got my licenses ( car,motorcycle) 5yr, although I would like to add they did make me take all the practical tests again even though I had proof already.Hope this helps

I also have heard the Tramsportation Offices are closed due to Covid

I'm not due till May but can you just let me know what the base requirements are for renewing in that office eg.
Appointment, medical cert, watch that horrible video etc.

^ Just needs you, your old license, do the color blindness, reaction and depth of field perception tests, watch video, pay fee, get picture, get license and leave. If you get in before 11 am, you catch the early video and are done by 1 pm.

I think from memory around 440 baht and 850 baht for the 2 licenses at the Land Transport Office along highway 2.I would advise you to check if the LTO is still open, it was last Tuesday.

I checked again today AEK is still closed and Central is no longer providing the service.

Can you renew your both car and bike at the Udon Dutsadi Rd office or do I need to go to highway office?

a friend of mine renewed yesterday at the main office on highway 2, if you are able to register with the DLT app , you will not have took look any movie , and remember if let expire first you will get renewal for 6 years... as info

Took wife on Wednesday. AEK and Central are both closed, due to covid we were told. As a Thai she watched video, depth perception test, color blindness, peripheral vision, and braking reaction test. You can watch the video from home using smart phone
