Just been into PEA UD town branch next to wine cellar.. spiffing result ..temp check on door and presented my current bill which was for 2,982 bt , very pleasant young lady said this bill is discounted to 1,244 bt :D :D .. the total of your February bill which was correct as i had previously checked... the beautiful ""angel"" in blue then confirmed a similar outcome for the next two bills .. suffice to say DM danced a jig out the door and now planning what to spend my suprize surplus pocket money on ..

Chang or Sivilai

DM
Hi John! Were you able to confirm that this deep discount is only good for Apr-June bills and not for March as others have speculated?
Easy enough to check if DM is willing to give the February consumption number and the one on this bill. (Not the amounts paid)

The bill amount i paid today was defo my Feb consumption .. 311 units .. my actual consumption for the bill i took in the PEA was 699 units HENCE MY GREAT JOY , on the bottom PEA bills it shows the previous months consumption covering the last 6 months.

Suffice to say office AC is on super chill :D ..

My savings were not wasted I chose a mix of Sivilai and Chang plus a tub of Rum n Raisin ice cream

<snip quote>

Your usage seems very low for both months . You are either very fugal , or your Mrs doesnt leave everything switched on like mine does .
I would swap bills in a heartbeat .
I may even look at that! Just had my 25yo step daughter move out of Udon and back home (partner was promoted in his work and sent to BKK for 4 months training). Expect the power usage to sky rocket ---- accept for current billing changes. AND will have to find a more secure place to hide my 14 cartons of piss! 55555

It is correct for this month if you round up the Stang but seems wrong for February if you say it was the same amount

the calculator shows 1,251 for February

The main PEA office does not open Saturdays.. but the small PEA office located in UD town does .. i noticed the opening times yesterday open 10-30am normally until 6-30pm but at he moment due to C19 it closes early at 4-30pm

Located directly opposite the main entrance to Tesco s.. ive always used that location to pay bills as never more than 5 mins unlike the main office where can be an age when busy.

the calculator shows 1,251 for February
STWW .. Not forgetting initially the PEA offered a 3% disc on power bills from Feb ..therefore im guessing that the calculator does not have the previous 3 % configured as well as the new discounts ..my Feb bill was discounted 3% .. the money amount of the 3% discount on 1,214 bt (36 bt) when added back on adds up to the new calculator system total 1,250.xx bt as you have pointed out so the calculator is working correctly.

Not quite, as the 3% discount is correctly taken off in April, and before they added in the big discount it was programmed to take off the 3% in February. Also it is showing the discount in March which may well be incorrect for that.

So for current bills It’s OK but unreliable for earlier ones.

Daily News reported that the Provincial Electricity Authority has announced that certain users will receive refunds on their April bill payments in July.
Users with limited usage that fall under the 1.1.1. designation will not have to pay for electricity from April to June.
If they already paid for April they will get the refund in July.
Users who use more electricity classified as 1.1.2. will receive free electricity just for April and get their refund, if they have already paid, in May.

Thaivisa understands that 1.1.2. users are those with consumption over 150 kWh.
Users classified under 1.1.1. use less than that and are eligible for free electricity for three months.

1. Customer, who has installed meter up to 5 Amp., 220 V., 1 Phase, 2 Wires, is classified under 1.1.1. If the customer consumes over 150 kWh for 3 consecutive months, he/she will be reclassified under 1.1.2 in the following month. When the customer does not consume over 150 kWh for 3 consecutive months, he/she will be reclassified under 1.1.1 in the following month.

2. Customer, who has installed meter over 5 Amp., 220 V., 1 Phase, 2 Wires, is classified under 1.1.2.

3. Customer, who has classified under 1.1.1 and does not consume over 50 kWh, will be received free electricity for that month until December 2015. From January 2016 onwards, the customer who classified under 1.1.1, and not be a juristic person, and does not consume over 50 kWh for 3 consecutive months (including the current month), will be received free electricity for that month.
That is the regulation the change is in blue and is 150 kWh up from 90 which was up from 50

Jeez , could they make it more complicated .
If their method statements are as long winded every time they go out on a repair , no wonder it seems to take forever to repair a blown fuse in a transformer or a downed line .
Glad to get a rebate or whatever , but just tell me in a language i understand .
Forget all the , if you used this , if your categorisede as that , just tell me what im entitled too .

Just to do what i did Doug .. go in PEA present what paper bill has been delivered to your home and let them sort it out .. basically you should get the next 3 bills April May n June at the same cost as your Feb bill... I was pleasantly suprized to say the least.

How to interpret this then: "Users who use more electricity classified as 1.1.2. will receive free electricity just for April and get their refund, if they have already paid, in May."
Noting mentioned regarding "basically you should get the next 3 bills April May n June at the same cost as your Feb bill".
