our bill seemed to reflect our higher consumption during April-May billing period. So, no match with our February bill, higher by about a thousand baht.
I thought that your bill would only match Febs bill if you used less than 800 units in April , May .
My consumption was well over 800 units , but i did receive around 30% discount on all units used .

Just retrived my latest bill from a water-logged post box. The amount is already including the discount as I used more than last month , but paying less, cannot be bothered to calculate the discount, just happy to pay what they ask, considering the ( for me ) excessive use of Air-con during this billing month.,

It’s not the meter size but the tariff you are on.

I looked at the PEA calculator and the 2.1 small business was the one that matches your numbers
Well the wife is off to pay it and I will let you know later
Wife just told me ,paid the full 13,000 b as stated on the bill . Oh well

What's listed under 'Type' on your bill? We appear to be 2125 whereas some of those who seem to be getting the extra large discount are type 1125.

Is 1125 commensurate with 1.1 and 1.2 residential service?

Is 2125 commensurate with 2.1 and 2.2 small general service?

Mrs tam did ask me if we needed to 'change our meter' after talking with PEA last month but not sure if that was about the move to smart meters OR about getting a meter refund.

So many offers and boondoggles with much getting lost in translation. I will await stww's advice or comment.

Every 24 hours without power is a 3% saving.
I’ve been counting lately and recently with 3 x 8 hr planned and not notified shutdowns ( no worries we know there doing major roadworks and moving cables) and now this morning just into a 12 hour blackout caused by a very very near lightning strike about 10pm last night I’m definitely on a winner. I’ve already saved well above 4% this month and counting.

Just returned from the PEA office in UD Town to inquire if I would be getting the deep discount for my June bill. On the promotional literature for this discount campaign it says that for the months of April, May and June we would be obligated only to pay the same amount as our February bill if the usage is below 800 total units. My February bill was 825 Baht, my March was 1373, and for April and May I was only billed the 825. Now I'm told that there will be no discount for the June bill as originally announced. In my case they will discount my June bill for the amount over 825 that I paid in March, therefore I am entitled to a discount of 548. So, for all practical purposes the deep discount was only for the months of March thru May and not April thru June as originally announced. I know it's confusing, but I hope this helps!

Exactly what has shown up on our June bill. The discount based on our ‘over payment’ in March, knocks the bill back to 250Bt for 394 units on type 1125 meter! =D> We had only used 181 units in Feb. due to some travels, and it worked out well for us!

Expecting back to normal billing and payments next month, right? Imagine being a bean counter at PEA through this!

Stay well.

Got my bill today and it was exactly as the girl at the PEA office in UD Town told me it would be, as stated above. There was a 3% discount as others have mentioned, and the credit on this month's bill for my overpayment in March. The deep discounts are now complete and back to normal billing for the bill I will receive on July 24th.

We are still seeing the 3% discount as a line item just below the subtotal, after the VAT 7%. MIL also has it, although her amount due is -0- and showing a 610 Bt credit due to the March overpayment. Hers is a type 1115, ours is 1125. Meaning?

Oddly, the 3 bills I see this month are blank in the section showing usage history. :-k
