Seriously pissed off , AGODA >COM
Re: Seriously pissed off , AGODA >COM
I have used Agoda six times. Three good two mediocre and one nasty. Two bits of advice ,after checking the Agoda price check if the hotel has it's own web site ,may be cheaper. If it's not prepaid same idea don't mention Agoda when you arrive at the hotel just ask for their rate. Agoda quoted me ฿ึ700 but the hotel asked for ฿500.

I had to get a room in Yangon at less than 24-hours notice. My client has a corporate rate at Sedona which is US$110/night. Checked the hotel website and the corporate deal means they get the Superior for the price of a Deluxe; a one-step upgrade. Checked on agoda and grabbed the cheapest room which is the Deluxe and paid US$87. Checked in and due to them being busy, I was given a 2-step upgrade at no cost to a Premier Deluxe. Well happy.
I have found one of the tricks of getting upgrades is book with hotels that you've never stayed before. I think they do it to impress the newbie and hope they'll become a regular guest.
