Kilo 18 is 18 kilos outside of Udon....on the way to Nongbualamphu. One of the mysteries of Udon is: when I tell someone I live at kilo 18 (in Thai), most everyone seems to know I mean "18km on the way to NBLP" not 18km on the way to Nongkai or Nonghan or KK.
