Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Either they don't work or are triggered by other things on your breath. I blew into one of those and it turned red (and I don't drink at all). Cop gave me a stern look for a few seconds then said "go".

I assume the same or very similar to the device held near the mouth and you are asked to count 1 to whatever

Correct it detects iof there is any alcohol in your residual breath, if it detects, then a further test will be carried out. However as it is not exactly a scientific method I am sure they will be errors, more so if the officer has also been imbibing then results will at best be iffy.

Re: Traffic check points
Lovely places for TB to hide in over here, ever see them clean in between individuals ??
If you wish to really stuff them up ( at your own expense )
get an alcohol swab from your local pharmacy, and place inside your mouth prior to blowing on the breathalzer unit
Readings on .45- .55 ( normal is 0.05 for legal limit )
