Have experience with a commercial popcorn machine?

My lovely partner is having trouble mastering the intricacies of popping perfect caramel-style sweet popcorn that so many Thais like to eat. She hopes to make money with it so I'm probably doomed here, but am asking for help, anyway.

There is an art to the exact mix of ingredients and when exactly to add them, etc. We've checked dozens of Websites and forums, watched Youtube videos, you name it. Still getting way too many bad batches. A Thai man who used to sell the stuff offered to help us... for a mere adviser's fee of 8000 baht. Screw that.

Anyone out there had success with this? Willing to share info? Popcorn's on me!

a little difficult . the only thing I know is its something to do with the temp of the butter. maybe try different brands ?

Apply and work for one of the competitors for a few days, apprenticeship over, problem solved.

Thanks for the responses. Trial and error finally won the day. Turned out to be a mix of butter and oil and different sugars. Now to perfect some spicy flavors!

Hard to believe, but my lovely partner is actually making some money with this now. Small change, but she's only putting in 10 or 12 hours a week. Maybe I'll get a few baht back? Not.

Veggie burgers! There was a time in my life when I actually ate them--even ordered them in restaurants. Thankfully, I passed through that phase.
