Nok Air advertising, if commercial flying is what he's looking for, but a need to check out recent history/difficulties.

They have pilots here from Boeing re-training Nok pilots up to international standards, so he may have a chance.

How was he able to be in all 3 of these services? 2 is generally possible, but a third is stretching credibility.

It,s called the commonwealth and yes you can apply for armed forces transfers to any commonwealth countries there are also secondments to non commonwealth countries.

The way it was written implies that he served as a commissioned officer GD/P in all 3 Services. This would be a very rare feat. Secondments and detachments do not make you a serving member of the host nation.reddevil wrote:It,s called the commonwealth and yes you can apply for armed forces transfers to any commonwealth countries there are also secondments to non commonwealth countries.

Actually an Australian Flying with the NZ and UK Forces is a no brainer. Like the SAS they serve in each others Countries all the time ....

Service was as follows.........
Initial pilot training within Aus.
Flew Cap21 in South Aus as induction then transferred to CT4's then on to PC9.
20 hrs short of wings and government announced a cut back so of the normal 8 from 20 inductees, only 4 survived. He missed by 1.
New Zealand snapped him up and as a part of duties there he was to represent the RNZAF to the then US vice president but they found a couple of days short that he was not NZ citizen so that was fixed in a flash. So then on dual citizenship he flew CT4's once again (upgraded version from previous) and then on to the Macci. He was first in line for the F16 program which NZ dumped along with 90% of their air force pilots.
Then along came the RAF who offered him a job on fighters but he opted for VC10's as 6 years of intense fighter training were wearing him down a bit. VC10 service included places all over the world. He once said, I've been to the freezing North of the US and the seering heat of death valley all in one day. Other VC10 refuelling ops supported allied forces in Afganistan which he did for about 10 years until once again, cut-backs found him out of a job.
There is a lot more to the experiences under his belt but there ya go.....
