AQI 97 isn't that bad, is it?

I think he meant the PM2.5 concentration rate rather than AQI.
PM2.5 levels are definite value and AQI is an index calculated based on various standards.
A PM2.5 reading of 97 would be in the unhealthy range, an AQI of 97 would be in the moderate range.

Current AQI in Udon is now 160.

OMG stop bloody whinging, live with it or move, not that bad unless you8 have health issues in that case moving location would be best. 20 years ago Bangkok after three days was a a no no, it has not changed.

PM 2.5 at the downtown station near the fairgrounds nearly 200..https://aqicn.org/station/thailand/udon ... %E0%B8%B5/ As for Bangkok 20 years ago, they didn't measure AQI. The medical "experts" at the time told me when I lived there that "if you live on the higher floors of an apartment building and off the main road you should be OK.... I bought an air cleaner, a Panasonic with just a HEPA filter. expensive as hell from SOGO.. But, helped with sleeping....

NP void of walkers, runners, cyclists this morning. All activity crowded into the Fire Station area. What a mess. Meanwhile the purposely built area at the park entrance containing large parking area, pavilions, stage, large open areas remained unused.
