21.5 mm in the gauge this morning and another 5.3mm to be recorded tomorrow. Looks like more at 16:30 on the way, very grey.
Happy days in the rice paddies of Ban Dung!
Wife's brother sent a video from Ban Dung this morning showing the heavy rain. We are 20 minutes down the road and as dry as a witches chuff here.

Very light rain last night but high wind that has taken the power out so currently on 17 hours, and counting, with no power
ouch !! hope its sorted soon stww
Me too we are coming up on 20 hours and the power is still out

I don’t know the number of main supply posts that were taken out by the wind but I’m sure that the PEA is hard at work there must be thousands of houses affected.

Just came through Nong Samrong.
Home to mumon , other side of the royal irrigation lake. All power gone. All the power poles on the sharp corner of Nong Samrong golf course are broken at the base and lines laying on the ground.

We have fruit trees dying from lack of rain. Today is the first rain we have had for more than five months. My dry pond needs a lot more rain. Hopefully some of the thirsty trees will recover.

Power back long enough (10 mins) to reset all wi fi aps , flush toilets, turn off several lights absent mindedly turned on when no power and put frozen meal into microwave before being plunged back into darkness for another 45 mins

Pretty much rained heavy most of the night and early morning. A good 30mm at least. Ducks are happy.

A couple of downpours overnight, garden nicely watered , gardeners happy, those with Power loss , PEA call centre told me a Power Outage in Amphur Muang area which is huge, power off for 3 hours, hope PEA start checking the poles etc before the Rainy season.

Our power in the boonies of Loei province went off also. Times like this makes me really appreciate my solar power systems. The power wasn't off long enough to have thawed food in the fridge and freezer. I still have the 3,500 watt generator to cover that emergency.

Heavy rain last night and it’s looking like more rain soon.

The power is finally back after about 40 hours.
3BB, DTAC, TOT and other vans along the road working on getting the fibre lines back up, fortunately I have a backup AIS plan on my iPad.

Coming back tonight from the airport nearby the railway crossing, traffic almost at a standstill because of a fallen hoarding close to a car dealership. No heads up as you approach, and the usual refusal to let cars get into the open lanes. Luckily enough the hoarding fell to the left of the highway, otherwise I would still be in Udon now.

There was a hail storm this evening in Khon Kaen which knocked the power out.

Well after l;ast nights rain and the shower we had this AM, I hope those wanting rain will quieten their cries . It seemed fairly heavy this AM, but I had no intention of getting up and looking for the benefit of those asleep to ascertain just how much rain fell.
According to my mini flood plain , sufficient to allow the start of a small pool in the lawns depression. No watering the garden for two/three days then .

Note to gardeners, most weather forecasting apps are predicting dry weather over the next few weeks with HOT to V Hot ,over the next few days easing back a bit over the weekend and beyond.

SWMBO is happy with the overnight rain, but the fibre internet is still cut and will be for a while yet
