I think this accident brings up the issue of contributory negligence. In other words, both parties have a shared responsibility.

Is 100% plus 100% possible? :D

I would think to consider yourself an immigrant, a person would have applied for and received permanent residency. Personally, I'm here on a Non-Immigrant "O" with the one year retirement extension. I'm an expat.

Something many people outside the U.S.A. may not realize is that virtually every player in the National Football League attended college. In Channing Crowder's case, he was a student at the University of Florida for two years.

I'm sure the alumni are proud of him!

Lee, I have used a woman named Sarisa Thongdee. 089-711-4421. e-mail kkn_acc@yahoo.co.th. Fees have been very reasonable. She works in an accounting office on Adunyadet Rd, just north of Wattana Nuwong Rd on the east side of the street. I would think that she or someone in their office could help you.

If the land has not been held for at least 5 years since its last sale there is an additional 2.5% fee. I wasn't aware of that additional fee - it's good to know. So in this particular situation, if the land was held less than 5 years prior to this sale and the buyer paid 100% of the fees and taxes...

Normally, the land transfer tax is 2% of the purchase price or assessed value, whichever is higher. In most cases, payment of the tax is split 50/50 between the seller and the buyer, however this is negotiable. It may be that you paid 100% of the tax. Payment is due within 30 days of registering the...

If you stay excessively past the 30 days, in addition to a fine and possible jail time, there is a good chance of being blacklisted and prevented from re-entering Thailand in the future.

Spoke with Eddie at Nong's Ribs. He said he was told by a TSA employee after going through the passport check-in at Anchorage that he AND his TW could both go together through the U.S. citizen passport lane. This despite the fact that she has a Thailand passport. Can anyone confirm that this is poss...

Just finished remodeling the kitchen about two months ago. Total cost about 100,000 Baht. Cabinets from Global, appliances from Global and Tesco. The remodeling required constant supervision of the workman and a number of redos - but we're very happy with the final result. http://www.isarapix.com/pi...

Entering USA on tourist visa

I am bringing my TW to the USA this December on a tourist Visa. This is my first time to take her to the U.S. and have a few questions. Upon arrival, am I allowed to be with her to help answer questions when she gets passport clearance? Once she is checked through, I would then go through the USA ci...

However, for highway driving, opening the windows will use far more fuel than closing them and turning on the a/c.
That settles it for me. Effective immediately, I am gooing to begin driving around Udon with the windows up and the a/c off - I need to save evey Baht I can!

Had breakfast at CC this morning. It was the best breakfast I've had since leaving the US 6 months ago. I had the number 1 (2 egg plate with ham & bacon) and the SOS (chipped beef). The SOS was very tasty, much better than I've had in any military mess hall. I also met the owners, Sal & his wife (s...
