Back from Bangkok.....mission accomplished. Stayed on Sukhumvit Soi 11 (Federal Hotel 1000 baht per night),skytrain to Ploenchit 15 baht....less than 5 minutes walk to the British Embassy. I got the list of requirements from Nong Khai a few weeks back.I did query the Thai MFA bit and they said it was a requirement. However when you actually submit all the paperwork,who knows ? Rob, You can stop at a hotel on Sukhumvit and get the skytrain to Ploenchit....from there its about a 5 minute walk to the Embassy.
