Re: Road Repairs
You’re certainly right about the corruption & backhanders in the highways departments. We’re staying off HWY2 somewhere behind Nong Samrong. There’s a massive house near & I remarked to the owner of our villa if it was owned by a farang. Apparently not, it’s owned by someone high up (possibly mayor)...

Thats the biggest problem. Getting English 50's in perfect condition. Even a pen mark on them and their rejected. I was traveling through SEA for 3 years with 4000 quids worth of rejected notes. Had a few good sessions when I went home though. :D For some reason we always had 20’s & they were getti...

We bank with Krungsi in Thailand, they are listed as 43.38 on sight bill so a bit below bangkok bank. Difference of 3750 thai baht, just shows you even a small difference can save a fair bit Yeah, the rates move all the time unfortunately. That’s how the banks & these FX transfer companies make (or...

Re: transfer 25k UK pounds, best method to save £££

Same here. I use Lloyd’s which is part of same banking group & it’s up to 200k GBP using on line banki...
