Re: British Class Distinction - Ouch!

Odd you might believe that (I know, you don't) because mine mirrors the author's in your OP -- which you found interesting enough to post as a new thread.

Reeks of Old Timer if you ask me.

Dull, ill-planned, several lapse of continuity, weak logic.

Re: British Class Distinction - Ouch!

Don't take it personally, pienmash.
My observations are of the collective, not of any individual.
As stated in my original post on this thread.
On rare occasion you can find one who isn't.
See, you have an out. Perhaps you are that rare occasion.

BTW, I'm not from Texas ... but keep tryin'.

Re: British Class Distinction - Ouch!

Trolling? When an UM poster expresses his opinion -- is that trolling? Britons are generally vulgar, disgusting people in my estimation. They're gormless, manner-less, with dour outlook and sour attitude. Misery loves company and Brits generally want everyone else to be as insipid and miserable as t...

Just my opinion, of course. (and the OPs, and millions upon millions of others around the world)

Re: Electric car at its best

I drove to Phuket last month -- 1,500 km one-way. It took two days.
How long you reckon it would take in one of the 'lectrik jobs?

'Bout a week.

Re: Electric car at its best

People will buy mood rings and pet rocks, too. Doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Twelve hundred units is hardly a validation of success. But I suppose with monthly payments of $1,700, they're not for everybody. I wonder how much the new batteries will cost after five years?

Re: this makes my blood boil

So British law "protects" the speech if a Briton is saying it, but would ban a non Briton for saying the exact same thing...
In other words hate speech is a protected right if uttered by a Briton and a lifetime ban if uttered by a non-Briton.

Absolutely bizarre.

Re: Electric car at its best

What makes you think "wide open spaces" was a reference to the US?
Obsess much?

Maybe I was talking about Mongolia or Greenland-- both of which make Oz look downright metropolitan.
You have no Idea
Yes, I think I do -- having been to Greenland, Mongolia and Australia.

Re: this makes my blood boil

The UK protects his "freedom of speech," yet bans this Savage guy from ever visiting Britain forever -- based on hate speech. (sounds a lot like Udon Map) :D (I have never heard Savage nor read anything he's written, just remember the name) What's the difference besides the former being a citizen...?

The average United States driver travels 29 miles per day and is driving a total of 55 minutes per day. http://www.ridetowork.org/transportation-fact-sheet Americans' lives do not start and end at their commute to and from work. Any trip more than 100 miles out is either a two-day trip or requires ...

I reckon he'll be released on humanitarian grounds before the weekend is out.
Rumor is that he's suffering from a hangnail.

Tesla roadster -- just 240 miles on a charge. Maybe ok for a little village like England, but not in the real world. Charging times vary depending on available voltage and amperage. In a best case scenario Tesla claims a recharge time of approximately 4 hours using 240v and a 90 amp breaker and a wo...

Re: Now What? (American Politics)

Europe needs US troops. Lots of them. You can't even fund helicopters or basic needs of your own troops downrange. You've exhibited your military incompetence to the extent that you're ready to "share" a carrier with the frogs. I really don't have to say anything else. EUCOM (European Command) bases...

Re: Housing Projects

Planning for the future and community organization is not a forte of Thai developers. I've lived in many places around the world. Including both First Home and Lom Yen. A Thai community house is, by far, the least desirable. As (y)our beloved individual encourages -- self-sufficiency is The Way. Tha...
