Re: power bill reductions (covid-19)

.........no trust that PEA will keep their commitment to bill March, April and May at no greater than his February bill Is that right? We were in the U.K. in February so only had minimal usage for things on timers. I’m going to turn the AC on instead of sitting here with my feet in a bowl of iced w...

Re: Curfew

Another report in from The Boy, it all kicked off in Sainsbury’s yesterday when a family comprising of husband, wife (?) & three late age teenagers tried to get in during the time set aside for key workers & vulnerable people. These supermarket security guards who up until now have just had the lean...

Re: Curfew

Yeah, I’m good with that Loosely back on topic, I’ve just had a report from The Boy back in the U.K. that the police have blocked off the canal towpath because of the huge increase in people who’ve decided to use it for the daily exercise & cant/won’t comply with social distancing. They’ve got patro...

Re: Curfew

I was not aware I was talking to you , but as usual you jumped in, with another attempt at trying to be clever. Posting your xenophobic comments on a public forum meant you were talking to me & everyone else that read it. Suggest you keep your thoughts to yourself if you don’t want people to read t...

Re: Curfew

If you actually read the definition of Xenophobia you would fully understand . xenophobia noun 1) fear or hatred of foreigners, people from different cultures, or strangers: 2) fear or dislike of the customs, dress, etc., of people who are culturally different from oneself Perfect description for y...

Re: Border and bar closings

Just left Global on HWY2. Its definitely open. The entrance door is barricaded & they’ve made the exit door single file entry/exit. There are chairs positioned 2m apart I guess for queuing to go in but there was nobody there so I walked right up to a desk by the door. You sign your name & phone numb...

Re: Border and bar closings

Not sure how home improvement stores got into this thread but they did so heyho. Just drove past both Globals, Thai Watsadu & Homepro & all the barriers are gone with lots of cars parked up so I guess they’re open again. Not sure if/what any rules are being applied inside as didn’t stop. Funnily eno...

Re: Weather in Udon ?

Drove back from Nakhon Nowhere south of the Nong Khai riviera & droplets of rain started falling when we pulled up at a market. Set off down the road & a couple of minutes later a torrential downpour for no more than 30secs came down. Didn’t even get chance to turn on the wipers before we’d passed t...

Thanks for that Niggly... I may check out Thai Watsadu when doing my post-5 PM beer stocks survey, east side.
Thai Watsadu still had the barriers across at 11:30 this morning if it saves you a trip
