I suppose lizards are more bareable than flys and mozzys and in my opinion more favourable than having a cat! There's someone giving away kittens on another site I think in BKK. To be honest the lizards don't bother me, makes the place feel more 'real' and distant from the UK for a start! My Mrs jus...

Pest control!

My girl informs me she's having a problem with small lizards or kee gium in our house. Not really bothered by them but they leave little brown lumps dotted around the house. Problem being they have been busy breeding so I would like to know if anyone had any advice on the prevention of them in the h...

I'm determined to find one! As I'm in no hurry I reckon I'll get what I'm looking for eventually. Cheapest I've seen so far is 40,000 baht for a car I wouldn't pay half that for! I think that was a Suzuki Carribean like beer monkey said.
Thanks for the help guys

Cars in Thailand

Is it just me or are cars in Thailand more expensive than UK? Admittedly I've only looked online at classified ads on various sites but cars I'd expect to see selling for hundreds of pounds are selling for thousands. I've never looked seriously in Thailand, just window shopped as far as cars go sinc...

In the olden days when I used to stay in BKK. In fact only the first time I went to Thailand I stopped in an 'expensive' 1200 baht a night hotel. I ate by the pool in the hotel a few times and had the sloppies, ate at a well known pizza restaurant and had a bad gut but other than from eating food fa...

I've checked home pro, global house, and tesco. Can't remember if I looked in Big C when I was there last time. I think like lee says my best bet is to get a custom made 'pimp my bean bag' type of thing!

Cheers lads

Bean Bag

I've looked in practically every shop I've been in for a bean bag for my step daughter in Udon with no luck whatsoever. I was just wondering if anyone had seen any about in any shops? I might try and get a cushion/furniture maker to make me one as it's one thing I think every house should have for t...

That MK is not for me, paying a restaurant the same price as any other but having to cook your own food?! Wasn't to keen on the broth thing either.
20 baht roadside noodles, soups etc far better for me!

Has anyone sent an ATM card through the post? I'm a bit dubious even if it was sent recorded. I've sent some papers on the 5th which haven't yet arrived which does not help me relax about sending it! Is 10 days unreasonable time to expect delivery from UK to Udon? I've just openned a Nationwide acco...

Marriage Visa

Just reading another website I noticed it said to renew yearly marriage visa each time ANOTHER 400,000 baht had to be deposited into a Thai account. I'm assuming other people on here have renewed this type of visa here but is this check carried out? I've no problem depoisiting 400,000 baht but every...

Any internet shop owners?

Hi, I am interested in setting up an internet shop but my gf believes that police/mafia are a real problem and stop any real profit being made as well as causing numerous problems.
Just wondered if any internet shop or indeed any type of shop owners have such problems?

Cheers

Cheers geezers, I think with your help I've narrowed it down to two banks, that being Krung Thai or Siam Commercial.
Will be back in Udon on the 8th and I can't wait!
