Concrete price

I want to extend a house plan 1m for an 11m width. Small amount of extra wall/roof, but does anyone have a guide price on price of concrete to extend this? What would it be..? 2m3 3m3?

Re: Formwork building method

Thanks all - in Uk, for solid wall (terrace) houses) therer is an insulation scheme whereby insulation boards several cm thick are bolted to the outside of the walls and are then easily skimmed over. Ie keeps heat inside the house where no cavity present. Would do the same thing to keep heat out.......

Formwork building method

I see one builder in Udon who offers this - and seems quicker and cheaper to build. Basically they create two 'framework' walls and pour concrete in to create them. Seems pretty widespread in the US for decades - and on large projects. Questions: 1) anyone used this build method 2) wouldn't the conc...

Re: Microsoft Live Mail currently down

I used Firefox for many years until it got bloated and started taking up to 700mb memory, grinding my laptop to a halt.
Switched to Opera - way way better...-

Re: Microsoft Live Mail currently down

I never use any of the big companies email systems. For about 20 years now I have used an email client called Pegasus - written by a guy in New Zealand, David Harris. Nice and simple - no need for appointments/todo lists etc etc. Works for receiving/sending/filing messages!! Before it gets anywhere ...

Truck Service

My wife's parent's truck - Toyota Hilux - hasn't been serviced for two years. I suspect main dealer will be expensive - does anyone know of garages that can be trusted to do the full service in Udon (and maybe a guide price)? One problem as far as I can tell is that water leaks into the passenger si...

Re: Bangkok Hospital

Our son was born there 5 years ago next week - he was underweight and had problems breathing on his own. Thankfully he is now hale and harty and fighting fit, but they treated him - and us - with an attitude that showed they really cared - not just as another patient - that is a DISTINCT and importa...

Re: From one PC to new PC...

A simple (bought) package such as Acronis (about $15) will do it - although you need an external/cloud storage to clone the disk. Drivers are the main issue. Acronis will attempt to find online but you may have to visit manufacturer's website to download WIN10 drivers. Of course if you clone an 'old...

Probably a good idea to get all quotes (with description of what is being done/provided) IN WRITING beforehand.

Re: Electric bed

Forte was indeed the place to get what we wanted - and yes, a hospital-type bed that also looks ok. Price was comparable with online sites and they delivered immediately with no charge. In fact I would say it is THE place also for medical supplies - and the staff are very friendly with a bit of Engl...

We are here for one year and have a nearly five year old son. We started him at Holy St. Mary school on Nong Khai road and he is very happy there, teach in English and Thai. Re: Drain Unblocker!!!

Thanks - the drain 'snake' above is a good tool...but didn't have one. ....Caustic soda didn't work.... In the end I put lots of washing up liquid in the pan, and a bucket of hot (not boiling) water with more soap suds. Repeated the process and used plunger....slowly and patiently. Eventually did it...
