Re: Best Honda Dealer for a Car in Udon Thani

I just bought a new Honda 6 months ago. There are only 2 Honda dealers in Udon. One by the school and Chinese Market. The other on Route 216 going toward Khon Kia from Udon. I don't have the name of the dealer with me because I am not at home. You can search google. The Dealer on 216 is the biggest....

Re: Marriage Extension New Rule

I have 2 questions concerning the marriage extension. I would ask immigration but I am not sure how reliable their answers will be. I want to be as prepared as possible so I do not have to make a return trip to Immigration because I do not have all my ducks in a row. 1. How many copies of the comple...

Re: Conversion From O-A Retirement Extension to Marriage.

Again thank you all for some sound advice. A light when on when I read sometimewoodworker's post. I have 2 BKK bank accounts, one direct deposit and a regular saving. I was going to show both accounts in aggregate to total 800K. Now I realize thanks to the above member's post that I only need presen...

Re: Conversion From O-A Retirement Extension to Marriage.

I thank all of the above for some very good information based upon experiences. It would be nice if an I/O would explain what you all have done instead of just stating 30 days prior. I recall when Udon used to stamp passport valid until such a date when they would approve or reject an extension base...

Conversion From O-A Retirement Extension to Marriage.

When my retirement extension is due I am considering applying for marriage Visa extension. Has anyone done this in the past year? My question is; when can I apply for the marriage visa? In the past I have always applied early (up to 30 days prior) for my retirement extension. However, this being a n...

Re: Outdoor Security Flood Lights

Thank you all for great information. I did not know you can buy PIR's separately. I also did a search on Lazada for floodlights, came up empty. I now know I must search for garde/outdoor solar lights and thank you for the lazada link. I will order from them today as I have ordered many things from t...

Outdoor Security Flood Lights

I am looking for an outdoor lighting security system. One that comes on automatically when someone enters. The ones at ...

Bank Account for Retirement

After all of the on-line information and word of mouth about the financial requirements effective 01 March, I have decided to do the 800K in Bank. The monthly income method appears too vague to rely on for this year's extension and with the end of BKK Bank NY ending the ACH fund transfers on April 0...

Re: Bank Letter Certifying Account

I once tried to get my bank letter from a Bangkok Bank branch but was told I had to go to the branch where I set up the account. That was some years ago....don't know if things have changed. More recently, my bankbook filled up and I again tried to get a new one at a branch but was directed to the ...

Bank Letter Certifying Account

It appears I for one will be doing the 800K in a Thai Bank. I recall years ago (perhaps 8-9 years ago, I had to present a letter certifying account and amount along with updated bank book the same day as I applied for an extension for retirement at Jomtein Immigration even though I had a letter from...

Re: One year(marriage) in Savanakhet

I am currently on a retirement O-A extension, I am considering changing to a visa based on marriage. The question is, if the marriage ends in divorce, can I revert back to an O-A retirement visa if I meet all the requirements? You can get a new extension of your current O-A, by changing the reason ...

Re: New rules for retirement visa

Anyone up to speed with Police Order 35/2561 ? Requires applicants to have 800k in the bank 3 months before application AND 3 months after.. After 3 months the balance in the bank account must not fall below 400k. I believe it's comes into force March 1. I would like to know how it's going to be mo...
