Re: Non Immigrant O or OA Visa

Thanks STWW One thing my friend did tell me was that his Medical Insurance Policy (Worldwide) is not from one of the 13 No Insurance Companies, that are listed in the Link, as "participating in the Scheme under the Thai Government Long Stay Visa programme". So I don't know how relevant it will be o...

Re: Non Immigrant O or OA Visa

I am not sure how many copies of each document he will need to take, but personally I would take three copies of the Application and attached document, just to be sure 1 set is enough as it’s a retirement extension. Proof of residence depends on where he is staying. If he is renting then it is, cop...

Re: Udon Immigration office lately

I have to do my renewal based on 800K next week. I use an obsure bank to keep this money (L&H) because there is never anyone in there. They even know my name once or twice a year. However when I moved to that bank, I had to show them how to make the letter (bi lap long) the way Immigration wants it...

Re: Reporting from Across the Pacific

Talk to Immigration and see what's "on offer" or, get an agent and open up a whole other can of same-same but different worms. As I have mentioned immigration is very good at answering a direct “can I get this” questions They are very poor at answering indirect questions, so a what’s on offer is le...

If this is the case then I cant see the borders being opened at all To protect the border then everyone coming in would have to be quarantined which we know cant happen.
It can’t? That is exactly what is being proposed by the immigration officer above.

Re: Reporting from Across the Pacific

Turns out the visa relaxation untill the 31st of July don't apply as such to me , as I have a multiply entry non O visa I'm exempt untill boarders open again . It's a boarder pass which means I could leave and enter Thailand as many times as I like. So the theory is if they don't open the boarder b...

Ok ok splitting hairs visa except 30 days
No hairs have been split. The 2 kinds of entry are different.

A visa on arrival requires a fee and application form it gives 15 days.

If you got 30 days you entered Visa exempt did not need to complete a form nor pay the 2,000 baht fee.

Re: Apply for O Visa in Thailand

You will not get a visa in Thailand based on the info you provided. Never had any issues dealing with Thai Embassy in London. Nothing that has been posted suggests that a Non-O would not be granted. What makes you think he doesn’t qualify? Unless things have changed which I accept they may well hav...

Cannot get Non O as not married or on state pension
The information published on the website is not always correct, it maybe possible that you can get a Non-O even though the website says no. An email towards the end of June will cost nothing and could give good news.

Re: Apply for O Visa in Thailand

One thing I have never looked into is whether you can get an O Visa whilst in Thailand. Presumably it's possible? I have a flight booked to return to Thailand in July and, my present OA expired this month. IF, I am allowed to travel, I will have to get Visa on arrival (30 days?) as, dealing with th...
