The article says "considering", the title of the thread says "plan". That's two different things to me.

Re: 90 Day Report Online

I did 90 day reports for both me and my wife last year, 3 times, no problem. We renewed our extensions in Sept, with the official telling us just before we left, 'keep 800k in the bank for 3 months'. I tried to do a 90 day on line report a few days ago. It was rejected. Red letters "rejected". I tho...

Re: learning the thai language

mentioned it before.. The transliterated Thai into English can be quite literal from a Thai standpoint. In Thai the "N" sound in Sakon Nakon is spelled with a Thai Law Ling which as a final consonant sounds as an "N" sound so some brilliant person decided that in putting it into English an L would ...

Re: learning the thai language

It's sort of like the road sign near Tesco Nadee that says Loey 110km. Is it Loey or Leeuy or Loei? Or why is Udon and Ubon spelled so much alike but pronounced so differently?

Humidity level at 5pm today: 31%. That's probably as low as I've ever seen it in Udon.

Re: Weather in Udon ?

Last ?winter? I hardly needed a long sleeve shirt during the day.....but this winter looks to be like the one we had in 2009. On our 12x3 anniversary in January, we had a houseful of people and monks and 49 degrees. By the day of our anniversary, it had already been cold for several days, so the con...

Re: A weird insect

Probably a casebearer. For years we never had one inside the house....then we were gone for 6 months and they were all over. If you see them, best to remove from the walls/ceiling. Keep at it and they'll mostly be gone.

Calling Father Damien Karras.
Given the large spirit house there along with the long vacant piece of property just behind that wall, I'd be willing to bet the locals know what's behind all those accidents.

Dec 5 is Father's Day, Dec 10 is Constitution (sic) Day. Schools, banks, civil servants generally have the day off. There's another major parade scheduled for 5 Dec to make traffic even worse.

Re: Dead Man's Curve

I took this photo today. The street now has white bumpy lines (too near the curve imo) and the point of impact wall now painted yellow and black. Two girls were cleaning the area of bloodstains today. My wife (220v) says the spirit house is the source of the bad juju. Me (110v) says the white wall c...

Re: Dead Man's Curve

I over estimated that degree of that curve. It's probably only 35 or so degrees to the left as you're heading to the airport from town. The 90 turn is at the ptt station. As much as I don't like that turn at the ptt station, I can't recall the last time I saw an accident there.

Dead Man's Curve

The 75degree turn just before the PTT station near the airport (as you're heading toward the airport with the PTT station on your right) was freshly painted today with white stripes on the road and the wall facing the curve painted with yellow and black stripes. I figured something was up......a few...
