Re: Let's go nucleur

According to a study I just made up, most Sky news viewers believe 100% of the crap on that program is in fact news rather than right wing commentary.

Some commentary from someone who knows.

Heah Tam Do you think we are dealing with Lone Star instead of this Declan MacPherson??? Neither - I reckon it is Ricohoc. On the subject of BLM, their statement (for what it is worth) also says this: Shalomyah Bowers, a Black Lives Matter leader, said: “This is not an attack on Kamala Harris or Bl...

How do you pull a minuteman missile out of a silo and drop another betterer model inside?
With a crane!

They have already pulled 600 of them out and abandoned the silos. The improved models are electric, lithium batteries powered by solar power banks constructed next to the silos.

Sport, Find a replacement for China? First of all, there is no single market as big as China. USA has huge protection policies in place, tarriiffs and import quotas, the EU the same. India is increasing imports but not to that extent, so there are no markets big enough to replace China as a buyer of...

Re: Future energy sources?

What seems obvious in all of these arguments is that many figures are variable. An EV battery can be under 300kg in some cars or over 1000kgs on another. The amount of ore needed to produce cobalt or cooper etc dependents on the yield be it 2% or 7% etc. Posters choose a figure that suits their pred...

Doesn't matter if he was mentally impaired or not. He was a prisoner that was murdered. Expressly forbidden by the Geneva convention. Individual soldiers are tasked to perform their duties under the rules of war.

This was murder plain and simple

Seems the blade size and weight depends on the size of the turbine which does vary The average weight of a wind turbine is about 200 tons in total. The blades weigh about 35 tons, the tower itself at around 70 tons, and the gear box weighing at about 55 tons. The average blade on a typical onshore ...
