Re: Landfill site for household waste

Well. Making a comment in the 5 YO post made me find it:-) So thanks!! A dump doesn't walk anywhere, sadly neither does the trash.. Lots of stuff it's normal for the family to put on fire, also lots of stuff simply doesn't burn... Old microwave for instance... It will be great to get rid of some of ...

relocating Udon to Rayong, movers needed, but where to find?

Hi all, We are relocating from Udon Thani area (Phen)  to Rayong area (Ban Chang).  (+/- 700km) 3,5 months of severe air pollution is too much to handle with COPD. Apparently its more difficult to find a moving company, then to find a new home!! Do they even exist in Thailand?? 🙂 Deliveree seems n...

Re: A R.T. /IVF / fertility clinics and such

Some updates on de old post Sperm test done and indeed... Shooting blanks, absolutely no movement. I stopped with the HRT, and started using proviron and HCG. While in Europe i would have visited a doctor's office, my experience in Thailand is that doctors mostly see a walking and talking ATM. It's ...

Bowling in Udon Thani?

Hi all, I'm curious, is there a place to bowl in Udon Thani? (Or surrounding areas -/+ 100km) I saw there was one in 2018 or so in central, apparently closed for a long long time? And apparently prices you better take a flight to Europe and still be cheaper... Ok.. that's not true, but When i read 4...

Re: New (used) Car, how to register?

Hahaha...

Straight forward, just really slow speed.
Not my best quality, waiting at burocracy.
After 3 hours or so I'm getting grumpy.

Where possible I try to avoid the long waits that seem to be "standard" in Thailand.

When not possible... Just sit and wait

Re: LPG conversion (older Ford,3.0L V6)

And there you hit the nail on the head. "Respectable Mechanic" Are there respectable mechanics in Udon Thani? I don't mind paying 35.000 for installation. Not even if it's 15.000 wages for a days work. But I do need guarantee that it's good. Respectable Mechanic... Right. Absolutely. I'm open for su...

LPG conversion (older Ford,3.0L V6)

We bought "new" car, 19 year old Ford escape. While we like the car, it's thirsty. About 10km per L of 95. Time for LPG. Pricing seems to go from almost nothing (online forums, start 12.000 THB) to real life price offers of 35.000 THB. I looked at the brands that shop was using, the standard "China"...

Thai burocracy... Sigh.

Just ride the roller coaster 😂

Re: New (used) Car, how to register?

👍
So better go there before immigration....
Leave around 6am, and just do the tour.
Sigh.

We are planning on installation of LPG system.
I guess I better prepare a full day for that change at the transport office as well 😜

Thanks for the conclusive answer!🙏

Burocracy in Thailand...
Sigh.

New (used) Car, how to register?

Hi people, I've bought a new 19 year old Ford SUV. We bought in Bangkok as second hand car market is better internet oriented there. Alternative would be to hop 50 or so small dealers who don't show pricing and as soon as they see farang... Absurd pricing 555. Anyway. It has some nuisances due carel...

Thanks!!

When I'm back (currently not home) we will check it out.
First step will be testing of sperm.
Then talk about the possibilities :-)
I assume that step won't be too crazy expensive :-)

Re: A R.T. /IVF / fertility clinics and such

Thanks DM, Much appreciated!! Udon Thani isn't the world capital, and we aren't stuck here. (Now a bit due COVID, that will hopefully pass) Say roughly a 1000 km radius is OK. Travel in Asia is cheap and you don't need to stay weeks and weeks for observation. Make it a nice combination with a Hollid...

Re: Metal Recycling (Lead acid batteries)

Yes, that's how far we already came.
300-600 THB range.
600thb is crazy for 50kg of lead...

They have a buyer.

In Europe it's old metals recycling plants.
Who give a fair price for old aluminium, copper, scrap iron and lead. (Or lead acid batteries)

In Thailand it's??

Re: Solar panels

When I read the first part... Jeah... Funny Chinese. Max wattage on normal size solar panels is 390 watt. The panels that do +400 are larger in size, have more cells (standard 72) and have higher voltage. How to get more water in a liter bottle? Just make it 1.2L 555 ... For the pump.. Your pwm/MPPT...

Re: Beware of Lazada.

Flash express is also a pain for us Their "updates" are crap and often sign themselves. We usually do get the packageg, a day of 5 later. We order a lot. Mostly due price and availability. I'm not going to pay 850 THB for spray paint can when they are 200 THB on Lazada. Sure, the shop needs to make ...

Re: Solar/Wind energy for the future. Forget it

Just a tip for those small home built solar systems. I had disappointing results when I first got into solar. Using the recommended amount of solar panels simply did not work for me. Batteries, even with deep cycle batteries, life is shortened from discharging them below 50 percent. On top of that ...
