Re: Building a new house - Cost advice

I am being given lots to think about here. The latest thing is a pick up. I don't really want to do too much driving here, but considering where we live it does make sense to have some transport. The family does have an old battered pick up that has seen better days, so I suppose it would help them....

Re: FA CUP 2017/18

Some good results for the smaller teams yesterday. Coventry beating Stoke, I was happy about that.

Re: Building a new house - Cost advice

Thanks for the advice and information guys. It's given me a lot to think about. I'm just trying to get a ball park figure before going ahead with anything. The problem I am having at the moment is trying to get a proper valuation of the land, the wife tells me that it's a good price, but I just want...

I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much it would cost to build a house about 200 sq meters. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms kitchen etc. the wife says she has some family members who can build it, and we just have to buy the ma...

Re: Grass Roots Footie 2017/18

I have been looking at our much loved teams mentioned on this thread. I I think I should give my support to one of them. i am narrowing my choices down. I quite like the idea of Scunthorpe, unfashionable and unloved as they are. (Except by members on this forum.) DM, is your offer of a membership pa...

Re: Grass Roots Footie 2017/18

I have been looking at a few of the teams and I will be looking at the Doncaster v Scunthorpe cup tie with interest. I have always liked cup football, a local derby is even better.

Re: UEFA Football World Cup Qualifying Russia 2018

I don't understand the bit about rabbits, but I'm sure it must be a joke.
Anyway, my prediction for the world cup are the current European champions, Portugal.

Re: Grass Roots Footie 2017/18

Hi all, my first time posting on this tread, so a few words of introduction. I have recently come to live in the Udon area so don't know my way around yet. For football I have no particular allegiance to any particular team, mainly because where I come from the nearest team was about 60 miles away. ...

Introduction

Hello all. Just a quick post to introduce myself. I am recently retired and moved to live in the Udon area after meeting a really nice lady. I was wondering if there are any social clubs or gatherings where I can meet up with fellow ex-pats. I enjoy a drink, but I'm not much of a bar person. I notic...
