Re: Trump 2025

Okay, this is funny. The suck-up of the year winner, and it was a close race, has to go to FIFA President Gianni infantino, who just awarded the POTUS with the inaugural "FIFA Peace Prize". This award was created just a few weeks ago after the POTUS didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize. This truly ...

As is usual with the lazada app, after a few days their search algorithms find more of exactly what you're looking for. Two larger night stands should be delivered today and they colour match the new headboard and box frame.

New bed and mattress delivered. We need to replace the tired old pillows and looking for a proper "firm" and "soft" like Holiday Inn does but lasts longer than the usual Big C offerings.

Re: Outbreak of Flu

Flu caught up with me last Saturday after a trip to Bangkok and Pattaya to catch up with some visitors. I think the last time I had it was a couple of years ago, and I sweated it out in about three days. This time it's deeper and lingering longer. My son got an antiviral flu shot last year that ...

Nightstands

While we're at it, new nightstands to replace the tired ones from Index.

Looking online, it seems that 40 x 40 x 40 cm is the standard size, same as we have now, which I always found too small. Any bigger ones about?

Re: Pillows

I'll have a look at Index's offerings. I prefer a bit of hands-on shopping for pillows rather than some Chinese factory's idea of "firm" or "soft". Maybe next time I'm out west, I'll see what Boonthavorn has? Never been impressed with the commission chasers at Home Pro and the like.

"Bigsy"

Someone who is full of themselves or exhibits inflated self-importance. A bumptious person.

"We're a' Jock Thampsin's bairns"

Opines that we are all God's children.

As a put down, suggesting to someone who's acting bigsy , that they're not that special.

The answer is to create renewable power. I'm all for solar, wind, tidal and other ingenious methods. Anything that reduces the dependency on fossil fuels is a worthwhile goal.

More efficient ways of capturing the sun's energy are showing great promise. Solar may be the best option at this point ...
