Re: Iran launches attack on Israel

"With Iran’s Strikes, Arab Countries Fear an Expanding Conflict" https://www.yahoo.com/news/iran-strikes-arab-countries-fear-113144048.html With the Arabs kicking up a suggestion would be for the USA< UK, etc to keep their noses out. It has long been known that the Tribes want to solve their own is...

Re: Grass Roots Football 23/24

The BBC celebrating a girls team beating the boys. Ridiculous when the development of kids at this age far exceeds the difference in sexuality. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-essex-68816466 It gives me the chance for a quick rant though. I was listening to a podcast from a sports phone in in t...

Re: Iran launches attack on Israel

Iran flouts all diplomatic niceties, I doubt that it's outpost was not being used for nefarious purposes. The question in my mind, was it sensible for Israel to further inflame what was already overloaded with tensions by opening a new front. For me, i think that was really dumb. You can bet your b...

Bullet dodged? Pity it was Bojo and the Tory Clown Circus that were the incumbents, filling their own miserable boots, fiddling while Brussels fiddled.

Re: Iran launches attack on Israel

Diplomatic premises, like homes and schools, are considered "civilian objects" under international law, and they are not permissible as targets unless they are used for a military purpose. Diplomatic buildings are entitled to further protections from attack or other interference by the host country...

Re: Australia: Brittany Higgins and her texts for Labor support

I note when the story broke, it took no time at all before some on here defended the rapist by saying 'it take 2 to tango'. I am glad that while belatedly, this nasty SOB has been found by the courts to have committed this dreadful crime. I hope there us more action to follow and he finishes up eat...

Re: Iran launches attack on Israel

Israel knew exactly who they were targeting. Iran says their recent mission against Israel was a success despite over 98% of drones and rockets being intercepted and destroyed. Being deeply unpopular at home, they had to be seen as doing something. It doesn't matter if the similarly deeply unpopular...

Yes - the Consulate building in the Embassy compound.
And chock full of Quds.
Does that make it OK?

I thought only rogue states and terrorists bomb foreign embassies.
Yes, it makes it OK.

Rogue states and terrorists need to appreciate that diplomatic immunity doesn't apply to them.

Re: Future energy sources?

I dont like make excuses of why we cant do anything. I would sooner see us find things to do to solve problems rather than accept them. If its turn out lighting so be it. So using Thailand as an example, if every one turned out a light, just one that would be 69,000,000 less. Thats a load of electr...

Re: Future energy sources?

Seems lots of people care, but 99.9% do FA and that .1% make a lot of hot air Your opinion, but once again, unsupportable by the facts. A salient example, last Oz elections the climate denying coalition government was kicked out. The votes went to those who overwhelmingly supported climate action. ...

Re: Woman Falls From Tuk Tuk

Since tuk tuk's and their drivers don't need to be registered, licensed or insured, I don't see anything more than a token expression of remorse and a nominal donation to any next of kin being required here. The police speculation on heat-stroke possibly being a contributing factor isn't too far-fet...

An excellent post tam. To a fair extent this is happening with the targets of the developed world be significantly more ambitious than developing countries, but maybe mire can be done The problem with overseas aid is lack of oversight. Re: Udon flight options - what happened to Phuket!?

Since this is the end of high-season and extra UTH flight and destination options didn't appear, I would say they're gone for this year. Maybe next year? Several options with a reasonable stopover in either BKK or DMK are available. The LCC's like AirAsia, Thai Lion and Nok run these routes and if t...

I currently have both car and motorcycle licences that expire next Feb. They are 5 year licences which I first got when I had a non-o visa (or whatever it was). Re: Future energy sources?

I think a significant problem is the more developed nations that have the money, resources, knowledge and will to be proactive on reducing their carbon footprint, dictating policy of the developing nations. A lot of these fanciful net-zero targets are not only improbable, but they deny the right of ...
