I wasn't condoning shooting him, just thought the method was unusual given he was on a rampage and not surrendering. I don't think any guns were even drawn.
Like you say though, their action appears justified if none of the police officers were injured when tackling him.

Re: Crazy Udon
I saw a video of the police apprehending the murderer using, what looked like, shepherd hooks. Couldn't see clearly but I don't think he'd dropped the knife as they cornered him. I did wonder why he wasn't shot, even if not fatally, at that point. Hopefully, the police threw him a welcome party last...

Re: Thai food
Also, don't drink tap water, stick to bottled. You can get a water dispenser and have the big bottles delivered to avoid plastic waste. In my village the tap water comes from a silo in the local school and, in the past, all sorts have been found in the pipes. I went on to buy bottled water and once ...

Re: UK to put all citizens over 70 into MANDATORY isolation
The UK isn't in the stone age, anyone can have fresh food delivered to their door by supermarkets. The logistics aren't the problem.
Fact is, the quickest way to halt covid19 is if EVERYONE self isolates, not just specific groups.

Re: US declares 30-day European travel ban.
Watching Boris on Sky, the view I got was that the UK appears to accept that a high percentage of people in the UK, will inevitably contract the virus, regardless of what is done. Maybe it's Boris's tactic for reelection? Covid19 death rates in the elderly are much higher which, in a few years, wou...

Re: Dirty Farangs
Aye, Farangs are dirty, can't disagree with that but so are Thais. For a country that relies heavily on tourism, they do a good job of putting foreign visitors off. How many reported cases are there of farangs with covid-19 in Thailand so far? I've not been counting but I can only remember one in th...

Petty quarrels are what UdonMap seems to be for these days.

Re: Covit-19 local fatality?
Where's the logic in queueing with crowds of people for masks or tests? Surely the sensible option is to avoid crowds? Many farangs in Udon will be the last to get the disease since they choose to self isolate most of the time anyway.

Re: Plastic Bags
One of the fastest growing chain of shops in the UK is the fashion chain 'Primark'. Since it's introduction to the UK it has used brown paper bags in various sizes - which I understand are bio-degradable. :D I have no idea about the 'green/eco-friendly' aspects of paper bags: but at least they aren...

4. The ‘dingo fence’ is the longest fence in the world (5,530km shortened from m 8600km in 1980). It is about twice as long as the Great Wall of China and didn't cost an estimated $33Billion USD which started at $4 Billion on another structure Something similar could of saved Trump a lot of effort,...

Is Isaan beer still on the go? I remember that being even worse than Archa. When it's hot I will drink most beers provided they are pre cooled and do not have ice in them. I've generally always prefered Leo when I'm buying though. I've never noticed different % on the same brand beer before. Having ...

Re: And yet ANOTHER mass shooting in the US
Okay...here comes the "ban the guns" and "it's all Trump's fault" crowd. Over the years the US and other countries have spiraled into a culture of violence brought on by bastards brought up in single parent homes, collecting welfare and sitting around watching violent video games all day. Society h...

Re: 4 bombs go off in BKK
Terrorism with very little terror. In global terror terms it's really just a fart in a lift. Thankfully those innocent 3 are still alive although, sadly, most likely suffered life long injuries. The timing of the detonations suggest they didn't want to hurt/kill huge numbers but the secondary blast,...
