Re: Transport Offices and road tax payments

Where exactly is the drive thro for taxing vehicles? When you drive into the Land/Transport office turn right and you cant miss the big sign stating Drive Through. There are 2 booths just like on the Tollways but usually only 1 open. https://www.google.co.th/maps/place/Provincial+Land+Transport+Off...

Re: Mandatory health insurance for Non O-A visa effective from 31 October

The lady that usually takes care of extensions motioned for us to sit down in the chairs in front of her desk. We showed her our passports and she took a moment to look them over. We asked her if I would be able to change my current reason for the extension of retirement to the reason of extension ...

Re: Mandatory health insurance for Non O-A visa effective from 31 October

I can see the logic for the initial OA as you could gain entry into the country for upto 2 years without depositing any cash here, however those on extensions of stay have to have the sufficient funds, and since the recent rule change (if using cash in the bank) to keep 400k in your account for the ...

Re: Time Requirement, Post Extension, for 800K in Bank

When I did my extension in July nothing was said about checking again after 90 days However the New rule 800k before + for 3 mths after and 400k for the rest of the year was mentioned so I dont think this rule has been abandoned since Big Joke left Immigration.

Re: Thai immigration reveals new requirements for retirement, marriage extensions (visas)

As previously said... The new rules recently published (depositing 40/65000 monthly into your Thai account) are to facilitate those who used the income/method via the Embassy Letter. Some Embassies did away with this letter so Imm has come up with an alternative to this method. This will also assist...

you can extend upto 30 days early with no loss of date and sometimes upto 45 days if travelling. It pays to get in a few weeks early for the reasons mentioned, you dont lose any time and get to meet the needs of any additional info required by the IO
