Re: Fly Thai Vietjet to Udon Thani for Bt10

The 10 baht flights were there on Friday but by the time you added airport tax, domestic flight tax, administration fee, credit card fee, baggage allowance etc. the cost was not dissimilar to the other airlines on the Udon -Bangkok route. That said, the direct flights Udon-Chiang Rai look interestin...

Re: Ashes 2019

Congrats to the Aussie's... best team won.
Smithy head and shoulders above any other batsman in the series.
And without Jimmy Anderson the Aussie bowling attack was better as well.

Re: British man killed in Centara Grand Phuket

An arrest warrant has been issued for the Norwegian guy after he failed to put in an appearance at Phuket Provincial Court as part of his bail conditions.
He was earlier seen sunbathing by the pool at the 5 star Ikon Hotel but has since disappeared after the arrest warrant was issued.

Re: Ashes 2019

When England last toured Australia there warm up games consisted of a 2 day game against Western Australia and a 2 day game against a Cricket Australia XI.... plus 2 matches of 4 days against a Cricket Australia XI which were very weak sides with players of the standard of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donov...

Just read that Bolton's takeover has been completed so saved from the brink of liquidation... one bit of good news anyway.

Re: Grass Roots Footie 2018/19

An even bigger club looks likely to go out of business in the next couple of weeks.... Bolton Wanderers.... they were in the EPL and Europe not so long ago. If the Premiership donated just 1% of their profits to the lower leagues these teams could be kept afloat. So it could be no teams get relegate...

There are differing accounts of what happened... Mr Baj...

Run for individual 29 July tonight

To mark HRH birthday yesterday there is a race/run in his honour tonight starting and finishing at Tungsri Muang. It's originally down as a 5pm start but think it will be nearer 6pm when the sun starts to go down a bit. Apparently 3,000 entries.... But certainly there will be a lot of traffic conges...

Re: World Cup

I think the Ashes will be a low scoring series.
The two Aussie sides involved in a low scoring game and England all out for 85 then Ireland 38
It would be a brave man who buys tickets for the 4th and 5th days. :D

Re: Thai Baht Still Too STRONG v. GBP

I think in time the GBP will recover.... maybe a couple of years... but until then it will be a rough ride for those trying to survive on just a Government Pension.

Re: World Cup

Absolutely amazing that a World Cup Final is decided by the number of boundaries scored... you couldn't make it up! But congrats to England that they even got to that stage, looking dead and buried at 86-4. Star men on the day, undoubtedly Stokes and Buttler. Yes, the first country to be world champ...

Re: The "I WISH" Thread

For Brexit we need strong politicians in the UK,to deal with the EU,not these mamby pamby self centered jessies we have at the moment so I wish we could sign up Vladimir Putin on a 3 year contract as PM with that chap from the Philippines as his deputy. Also I wish /hope that England win the cricket...

Re: World Cup

Well, I'm happy to say it looks like I was very wrong about England's chances of winning the World Cup. I think the big difference is the return of Roy and also just playing one spinner which gives the team a better balance. Sad to see Smithy going for 21 in his only over, including 3 consecutive si...

Re: World Cup

Congrats to England on what was a surprise victory... for me anyway. England are a bit of an enigma.... how can they play so well against India yet so poorly against Sri Lanka? And India 31 runs short but only 5 wickets down! The vindaloo coming out of their fans rear entrance will be even more pain...

Re: World Cup

Personally I think there is more chance of Rafa Benitez staying on as manager of Newcastle than there is of England winning the cricket World Cup. Mind you if we would have had Anderson and Broad opening the bowling yesterday, with the ball seaming about, the Aussie's would have been lucky to make 200
