I don't want the Disney Channel being cut off as it keeps the little one quiet for an hour or so each day. :D

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.

This is the most informative and encouraging information that I have seen on Covid-19, and it comes from a medical doctor who is on the front lines of the epidemic at Cornell Medical Center in New York. Watch just the first 23 minutes and you will feel liberated knowing that there are certain preca...

Re: Border and bar closings

As I posted on another thread.... Hundreds of farangs queuing daily in close proximity at the many Immigration offices... waiting for hours. It only needs one person to be infected in the office and the virus will spread like wildfire. Not just farangs but also Immigration Officers and there family ...

Have they been made to work longer hours
They are only paper pushers
Think more about the medical staff on the front line
All the medical staff are heroes.
My post was about stopping the spread of the disease....hundreds of people, day after day, in a confined area... think about it.

Spare a thought for Thai Immigration staff

There are some absolute horror stories coming from Thai Immigration Offices, at the moment. People having to queue for 8 hours, hundreds waiting outside, Bangkok particularly bad, Udon office packed out every day now. And what of the Immigration staff? Every day overworked not just dealing with elde...

Re: Sales of alcohol at the supermarkets

It's good that Alan is maintaining his sense of humour in these testing times....
Anyway, back on topic.... I went to Tesco Lotus Extra this morning... no problem getting alcohol or ordering a birthday cake... it was very quiet... you have your temperature monitored before you can enter.

Sales of alcohol at the supermarkets

I know there are far more important issues, at present, but with typical bad timing it's my birthday this weekend. I was wondering if it is still possible to buy alcohol at Tops or Tesco's, as usual, or is this area now closed off ?? I,ve still got 3 cans in the fridge so will have to drink slowly i...

Re: BANGKOK BANK

I would say the safest way to ensure you don't end up out of pocket is to go to the bank, fill out a withdrawal form, and get the cashier to give you cash in hand.
That's assuming you have a Thai bank account of course.

The parks, by exercise I was meaning loads of people go for a stroll and a chat not exercise as a fit chap like yourself would mean. :D That's good you are doing 6-10km daily keeping yourself fit and strong. Plus you have the added worry of not knowing if Leeds United will be automatically promoted ...

Re: UK in Lockdown.

Interesting this once a day for exercise.... I can understand it but in the UK it has meant hundreds of people going to the parks. This surely increases the risk of infection?? Better to go at midnight for exercise and risk being mugged.... I drove past Nong Prajak around 4.30pm and it was still open.
