Re: Bangkok protests

JS lets get back to the basics and on track My post was specifically about Foreign involvement in other Countries where that Foreigner is a Guest. It had nothing to do with the rights or the wrongs of the reason for the protest. Correct me if I am wrong. I have and I remain opposed to foreign inter...

Re: Bangkok protests

JS lets get back to the basics and on track My initial post was in response to Cj's, in which I stated that I "Totally Agreed" with CJ and especially the part related "it being inappropriate for foreigners to so strongly agitate against a government of their guest country, including suggesting and d...

Re: Bangkok protests

I guess at least in a democracy, where the majority is unhappy with their lot, they have the opportunity, and legal right, to change the government - dependant on free and fair elections of course. Such is not the case on many countries, including one close to our current circumstances. Perhaps the...

Re: Bangkok protests

JS, tell me the name of a country in the world, where everyone (the natives) happy with their lot? From what I see, 50 % vote one way and 50 % vote another way in most countries and in some counties its 33%, 33% and 33% and so on, so if you are looking for a Country where All 100% of the natives are...

Re: A little ray of sunshine from Australia

NZ is having problems with too many NZers arriving from India with Covid 19. It's a significant risk and we might have to close the border with India. Why would a government allow anyone to enter from India, at present, a country that has some 86,000 new cases every day, as is obviously one of the ...

Re: Post Covid ecomony

Year 2021 and Beyond: The extension of the scenarios into 2021, point to a change in trend next year, based on the assumptions of a gradual and linear lifting of travel restrictions, the availability of a vaccine or treatment and a return of traveler confidence. Nonetheless, despite this, the retur...

Re: Post Covid ecomony

Future Tourism Whilst we all know that tourism in 2020 is already a lost cause, the speculation on the extent of recovery in 2021 (if any) still remains very uncertain. So many variables will affect it. Re: New Extension after September 26th

Considering they strictly want long stay visitors, and I may be wrong, but the way it is worded there would be no re-entry permit needed because they don't want you to leave the country. Stay for 90 days, then can extend it for two more 90-day periods. I would assume if you left after the initial 9...

Re: Wondering where you can travel?

Thailand's "Think tank" of government, will probably now introduce, 4 day long week end holidays every fortnight, (maybe every week) so that they can attract all of those local tourists to their resort areas such as Phuket, to achieve a 30% occupancy rate for the four days and so save the tourist i...
