Re: friendly NOD .

An interesting subject, timmy - I think of it this way. How many of us, when wandering around a large supermarket (in Oz, Coles or Woolworths) in a major city in our former country, would nod and expect an acknowledgement from a complete stranger - just because we share the same skin colour? Smaller...

Re: RooJai Car and Motorbike Insurance

I have an email from Roojai in November, confirming they have covered me for the coming 12 months, but as I turn 70 mid-year, will not cover me after Nov 2020. So after 70, you need to look for a new insurer. Just an update on this. I received an email from Roojai, inviting me to insure for the com...

Re: Bangkok protests

Used to work as a chemist for Petrochem UK manufacturing antifreeze and brake fluids .. same dye as used in this case , harmless powder unless you snort it in powder form... at worst slight skin irritation if sensitive skin when diluted ... Seems you and the police are on the same page on this one....

Re: A little ray of sunshine from Australia

Progressive governments returned in Australia's smallest "state", and the 9th state across the ditch.

In the latter case, with a huge swings to Labour and the Greens. =D>

Re: Bangkok protests

.......looks like most of the protest leaders /ringleaders are now out of the picture .......... , they did come over a bit lardy , the kids that were bullied at school , the ones no one wants to sit next to , loners and a tad strange... Interesting conclusion to draw, given your confessions on a d...

Re: Bangkok protests

Random groups of 5 people, flashing 3 finger signs, isn't going to have much impact. I wonder when is a "good" time to protest. If you can't do it in good times (because you are killing the golden goose) - and you can't do it in bad times (because times are bad), how long do you wait around to make ...

Re: Bangkok protests

This restraint was not applied to supporters of the Prime Minister. Was that the democratically (freely and fairly) elected PM, Uncle? On the subject of Prem ...... I hadn't noticed his name in the press for some time, so I wondered if I had been negligent in not following the career of this great ...

Re: Bangkok protests

Seems the Super, Dooper Emergency Decree has failed to have the desired effect in Bangkok.

What is wrong with these protesters?

Can't they recognise what is good for them, as bestowed by their betters?

XinJiang type re-education camps seem to be called for.

Re: Chris Christie statement after recovering in ICU from Covid-19

Interesting read, Jimbo.

I guess Christie is not the self-proclaimed "perfect physical specimen" that is Trump. :D

The statement really is a rebuke to Trump for his lack of leadership - but everyone except the cult members and Trumplets knew that already.

Re: Bangkok protests

Possibly, Uncle - but I suspect what is happening now has moved past the self-serving prick or two you refer to. In the meantime, the protest seems to have a lot more steam than just 5 only people at a time - as decreed under the Emergency Decree + Emergency Decree2. Google "Thousands of anti-goverm...

Re: Bangkok protests

Well it's all kicking off again in Bangkok. The disrespectful students and peasants haven't woken up to what a great job the coup leader, Prayuth, and those above him, have done for Thailand. Their unreasonable demands for real democracy, and a modern constitution, are being rightly pushed back by t...

Re: Credit Card Debt Upon Death

As a US lawyer, Admin is probably best placed to answer the question raised in the OP. However, from a layman's point of view , if you die with outstanding debts, it becomes a charge on your estate. Therefore if you have assets in the US, and a proper Will, it would be up to the executor of your US ...

Ask yourself this - why is it that almost exclusively, it is conservatives and RWNJs who gobble up these absurd conspiracy theories, without even a second thought about digging a bit deeper? :-k
