Kristian Dennis.....15 goals already this season.....in this form he could fire Macc towards the play offs.
The only thing is.....he's on loan from Stockport County only until January. If he keeps scoring, the more likely a League club will come in to sign him ! [-o<

I've said before how difficult a league the Conference is to get out of.Just look at a big club like Tranmere currently languishing in 12th and 13 points behind the leaders.Cheltenham are lucky they have an experienced boss in Gary Johnson who knows this league well from his time at Yeovil.

Sat 14 Nov 2015 - Scottish Challenge Cup semi final.

Queen's Park 1 - 2 Peterhead

In front of a huge attendance of 917 spectators Peterhead make the first final in their 124-year history.

The match was played at Queens Park's home and National Stadium, Hampden Park.

CAPACITY 52,000.

There must have been some eerie echoes around the stadium.

They will meet either St Mirren or Rangers from the other semi final in the final.

Highlights of the weekend UNICEF/Beckham charity match at the weekend from Old Trafford.

England X1 v Rest of the world X1

A great move and finish included (but dissalowed for offside) and a howler of a goalkeeping error.

Thanks for that socks - I watched the "Scholes nutmegs John Terry" that came with it as well. :D
Scholes still looks a class above anything United have in midfield at the moment as well... :D

I meant to write UK and and Ireland select and not England but my iternet is so slow I couldn't edit it on time. Maybe being Sunday all the local 'carpet slugs' are at the internet shops on facebook and playing games. Yes some on show may have lost a bit of pace Bob but the class is still there.

What Lambert is walking into

Debt of £79.8m (January 2015)
Unable to buy any players
Loan signings and free transfers cannot earn more than around £10,000 per week.
Given the above, I can only wish him the very best of luck, I think that he will need it...

Former Rangers player and Scout John 'Bomber' Brown has revealed that he watched Jamie Vardy six times as a player when he was at Fleetwood and recommended that Rangers signed him when they were still in the SPL. He further stated that due to the dysfunctional and financial situation at the club at the time this led to them not signing him for what he would have been an estimated transfer fee of 600,000 quid.

Scunthorpe 0-2 Bradford
Cheltenham 1-1 Forest Green
Macclesfield 2-0 Bromley
Nuneaton 2-2 FC United of Manchester
Livingston 1-1 Rangers
Bradford are on a good run (8 on the trot unbeaten) & were just too good for The Iron. Even the manager admitted the visitors fully deserved it.
El Glosico (as the Beeb entitled it) ended honours even. FG could have won it, but missed a penalty. Town stay top by a point, but the 'pack' is catching up too.
3 wins on the bounce for Macclesfield & they missed a penalty in this one too. Now up to 9th. & only 4 points from the play offs.
A point is not enough to get FC United of Manchester out of the bottom 3. They are 2 points adrift but do have 2 games in hand over some above them. Although, as Nuneaton remain top of the table, I would imagine that they were reasonably happy on the homeward journey.
Another game where possession (nearly 70%) did not turn into a win. Rangers now only top the table by (a very large) goal difference. They do have a game in hand over Hibs though.

A bumper crowd of nearly 5,500 turned up to watch the top of the table clash (for now ;) ) between Cheltenham and Forest Green.

El Classico.....Real Madrid 0 Barcelona 4......absolute humiliation for Real as Luis Suarez bags a couple to send Barca 6 points clear at the top of La Liga......Benitez out ???
Real Sociedad got over the "disappointment" of losing David Moyes by beating Sevilla 2-0.
More bad news for Moyes with Chelsea winning so Jose's job is safe for now ! :D

Finally....you couldnt make this up.....Brechins goalie turns up at Stenhousemuirs ground thinking Brechin were playing away when,in fact, they were at home......classic !!

Brechin goalkeeper turns up at wrong ground for game
Brechin City goalkeeper Graeme Smith had to make an 83-mile dash north to make his side's Scottish League 1 game against Stenhousemuir after going to the wrong stadium.
Smith arrived at Stenhousemuir's Ochilview ground in plenty of time for the 15:00 GMT kick-off only to discover the game was at Brechin's Glebe Park.
Fortunately, Smith made it to the Angus club's home in time to take his place in the starting XI. However his side lost 2-1 and remain bottom of the division.
Smith's error was spotted by William Hoggan, Stenhousemuir's head of community football, who tweeted: "Brechin City keeper Graeme Smith rocks up to Ochilview Park today but they're the home team. Haha classic."

[quote="BobHelm"][quote] Scunthorpe 0-2 Bradford

Bradford are on a good run (8 on the trot unbeaten) & were just too good for The Iron. Even the manager admitted the visitors fully deserved it.

Indeed a fair n balanced Scunthorpe manager Mark Robins was spot on with his after match comments quote " we were diabolical and well out played and fought by Bradford today " =D> well spotted ..........SO you and Mr Swann do something about it isnt that what you are overpaid to do ??...

Rumour has it both David Moyes and Brendan Rodgers are fighting over the soon to be vacant IRON managers position

Bury 1-2 Scunthorpe
Good away win from the Iron against a side above them in the table.
Takes them up to 13 spot & mid table safety..

It seems stange to see Merseysides second team down in 10th place in the Conference when most people would have backed Tranmere for a strong push for promotion this season ? :-k
Likewise a big club like Sheffield United who just cant seem to get out of League 1.They were beaten 4-2 at home by Shrewsbury last night and slip to 12th after 5 games without a win.

Changed days for Tranmere who have a long history. Maybe Aldridge is a bit too long in the tooth to come out of retirement and knock some in for them.

It was 10 years yesterday since George Best died aged 59.There was a documentary about him last night on MUTV and it was great to relive the skill he showed which was amazing.
Sadly his lifestyle meant he went into decline by the early age of 25 and was more or less washed up by 28.
Ronaldo and Messi are todays superstars and are fantastic players but in terms of sheer skill and genius I would rate the young George Best above them.

This was a brilliant quote from him......could apply to quite a few expats here in Udon,eh ! :D

Scunthorpe United 0-4 Peterborough United
Aldershot Town 0-2 Cheltenham Town
Forest Green 2-0 Altrincham
Barrow 2-1 Woking
Wrexham 2-3 Macclesfield Town
Rangers 4-0 St.Mirren

Shocking result for Scunthorpe which must surely put manager,Mark Robins, under pressure.
Cheltenham and Forest Green continue to set the pace at the top of the Conference.
Disappointment for Woking but Macclesfield now up to 7th after a fourth straight win.
Congrats to Rangers who have reached the final of the Scottish Challenge Cup where they will face Peterhead.
