Just not rugger

Post by stattointhailand » November 27, 2014, 5:52 pm

The australian rugby Union has responded to allegations that “a few thousand euro” worth of damage was done to the away dressing room in the wake of Ireland’s victory over the tourists on Saturday.

It had been reported that damage was done to fittings and doors in the away locker room while Aussie coach Michael Cheika was elsewhere doing interviews.

In a statement on Facebook, the ARU refuted accusations that any damage was deliberate and said they notified the IRFU immediately:

“We have received many queries and comments in relation to the incident at Aviva Stadium on Saturday night, after the Wallabies loss to Ireland. We value feedback from our fans and want to keep you in the loop so here’s what happened…

“One of the Wallabies support staff members accidentally opened a door the wrong way when going into the change room. A bolt from the door’s hinge went into the wall and created a small hole.

“We immediately notified venue management and have offered to help with any repair costs.

“Any suggestion that this was a player or member of staff acting angrily after losing the game isn’t true.”

Yeah right :-" :-" :-"

Pretty weedy vandalism if that's what it was. It's not the same game as the good old days when only decent blokes played it. The riff raff led by the Aussies have taken over. :D

They will be installing CCTV cameras at Twickenham's away changing room for Saturday's arrival.

Wise move as their ancestors might have a bit of form in the UK and these lads will be carrying some of their genes. Should be a good game.

Pommie hooligan. You wouldn't be happy if you were the landlord or this guy's Mrs. or mum. Just not rugby. It ain't just the Aussies.

Since I stopped playing football a few years ago watching Rugby is more preferable to me than football. The thing is if that was a footballer he'd be deemed a hooligan but as he's a Rugby player it was probably put down to high jinx and no more.
