Further to my above post ...............obtained the basic ( 690 baht voucher box) and tried to connect it up today.

Now I am no technology genius...........but Ive set up a few tv's in my time.

After many fruitless attempts the TGF called our IT guy.......after he couldnt get it to work either, he phoned the company to be told .......................

the basic box only works up to 15km from ( ?) town ..............we are just past the golf course at Nongsamrong and apparently

OUT OF RANGE.

You need to buy add ons , boosters etc etc etc.

Another fine govt mess ....................but then again not much difference to the NBN rollout in Oz , or when OZ changed over to digital a few years ago.

Does anyone know what programs you are supposed to get? (if you are within the 15 km)

Don't believe you undertand the purpose of the digital converter box. It allows an old style analog tv to receive the new digital broadcasting.
