The Ryder Cup

Post by pal52 » September 27, 2014, 5:03 pm

Anyone know where you can watch or even listen to the Ryder Cup on the internet. I am in China & yesterday I could listen to it on BBC radio 5. Today I tuned in on the internet & after about 15 mins I got cut off. When I tried to get it back I got a message that you can only listen to the Ryder Cup on radio 5 if you are actually in the UK. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to listen or watch the final days play.

I to heard that comment and yes 63 birdies and an eagle is very impressive but actually they played 256 holes the 64 he said was group holes so a it sounds far better than it really was

On form and Verse player, Mcilroy, Rose, Poulter, Dubussion should win, enough to keep the cup

But why 14/14 and last winner retain cup? they should have a sudden death playoff 2 v 2 4ball down the 1st, this way no blame would go on 1 player if the fu#ked up on the play off, how exciting would that be a playoff to win it if a tie at 14/14

[quote="socksy"]

11:36: Graeme McDowell v Jordan Spieth US WIN
11:48: Henrik Stenson v Patrick Reed HALF
12:00: Rory McIlroy v Rickie Fowler US WIN
12:12: Justin Rose v Hunter Mahan US WIN
12:24: Stephen Gallacher v Phil Mickelson US WIN
12:36: Martin Kaymer v Bubba Watson HALF
12:48: Thomas Bjorn v Matt Kuchar US WIN
13:00: Sergio Garcia v Jim Furyk US WIN
13:12: Ian Poulter v Webb Simpson EUROPE WIN
13:24: Jamie Donaldson v Keegan Bradley US WIN
13:36: Lee Westwood v Jimmy Walker HALF
13:48: Victor Dubuisson v Zach Johnson EUROPE WIN

Looking at the the above singles draw i think it is very favourable for the USA team ... top match up has to be the 2 R's Rory n Ricky , I would of had Victor Dubuisson higher up the order of play he is a cracking player and Graeme Mcdowel was quoted as saying he (Duduisson) will be the next big European superstar. ... its always a close run thing.

My predictions are marked above .

Good luck to both teams ..hoping for European win but i reckon the US will come back for a shock victory .

How individual players scored points for their teams with a few susprises.

GLENEAGLES, Scotland, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Europe beat the
United States 16 1/2 - 11 1/2 to win the Ryder Cup on Sunday.
Following is a list of invidual contributions to the team
score.

EUROPE UNITED STATES
Justin Rose 4 Patrick Reed 3 1/2
Henrik Stenson 3 Jordan Spieth 2 1/2
Graeme McDowell 3 Jimmy Walker 2 1/2
Jamie Donaldson 3 Phil Mickelson 2
Rory McIlroy 3 Hunter Mahan 1 1/2
Victor Dubuisson 2 1/2 Rickie Fowler 1 1/2
Sergio Garcia 2 1/2 Matt Kuchar 1
Martin Kaymer 2 Jim Furyk 1
Lee Westwood 2 Keegan Bradley 1
Ian Poulter 1 Webb Simpson 1/2
Thomas Bjorn 1/2 Zach Johnson 1/2
Stephen Gallacher 0 Bubba Watson 0

Well done Europe but a big ask in USA in two years.

I hope Reed watches his antics over and over again.

"I hope Reed watches his antics over and over again".

come of socksy. at least the guy showed some passion, which was sorely lacking (again) from most of his team mates.

I understand where you are coming from Statto but there's a difference between passion and etiquette in golf. Yes punch the air if you have a great shot or win a hole as many do.

There is no place for what he done on the Golf course - first time I have seen that.

What next if that becomes a trend?

Behaviour OTT a tad for a golfer, normally a footballer antagonising the away supporters with that type of gesture which then leads to trouble.
Anyways the hoody Donaldson had a jolly good time partying with the rest of them \:D/
